So "love it or leave it" then? Gotcha!

What if the laws say that we are a country that can torture and abuse others. Should we all just leave because we don't want to live in a world that has torture states or should we try to fight and become a civilized country that supports human rights?

A few years back some friends of my father emigrated to Australia. The reason they did so was (apologies for the words used, I am quoting one of them exactly, to make my point) "Too many niggers in England nowadays, the Australians know how to control those fuckers"

Howard and Costello are just feeding the fear of ignorant australians... as per their buddy George's manifesto.. True australians don't give a flying fuck what religion you are... Moslem australians represent < 2 % of the population here, and fucking atheists outnumber them 10:1(approx) So it's is just politcal and media scare-mongering and hyperbole... Nothing to see here.. move along please..... DD |
I almost choked on my Freedom Fries. :D

What this article also doesn't say is that, while they were going on against the muslims, John Howard and his party were happily standing behind the Exclusive Brethren, a radical Christian sect that advocates their own law above the nation's law.
They don't allow their members to vote but at the same time they've given heaps of money to the Liberal party and also started a campaign to undermine the Greens. They're misogynist and they protect child molesters. But our Prime Minister says they have a right to follow their beliefs. http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems...9/s1731462.htm Hypocrisy. Dave is right. Scare mongering to win votes. |
