Is this banner a no-no?

This banner caused a site to be declined for "clickable thumbs". Since they're a part of the banner, with text all over it, I thought it would be OK. Opinions?

Though I wouldn't decline for that banner (I like to avoid confrontation), I can see why someone would. Of course, if someone submitted anything to me with real thumbs that small, I would decline the site.

Hya Licker4U - I can't see the banner (I got a no permission error) but I think that was me. I'm such a bitch :D

if it was the one I'm talking about, it was tough but what pushed it was because it was at the very top of the first page, the paysite name was way over on the left and looked almost like a title and the line underneath showed no indication of where it was going.

If it would have been in a different place or the text under was different, I may not have looked at it that way but it was the first thing I saw on the site. The blonde in the middle was so hot I almost clicked it ;)

Well damn, now I'm getting a 404 also....lemme see

I put it on a page:

No problem. I figured if the sponsor made the banner and it's not "just thumbs" it would be OK. No other rejections so far. Different strokes for different folks.

And the blonde IS hot :D

I wonder, I think with this kind of a banner the background against which it's placed could matter as well. Put a blue banner with little square thumbs of pics against a blue background and you're getting thumbs that seem to be just on the page, and not as part of a banner... Not saying this is the case with this one, just struck me as I were looking at it.

Not even close to looking like thumbs - and very normal "new style" advertising for sponsors

ORLY

On the banner: Looks fine to me.

On that banner it would depend on where it was placed and what was put around it.

that was my point exactly, thank you Cleo :)

Very doubtful I'd have a problem with that one, but I'd agree with Cleo that it depends on how its used.

If it were slammed in the middle of a gallery with thumb above and below...it might be an issue.

Just reviewed a site last night that had 4 small thumbs in a square (with paysite name in middle of the square). This was stuffed into the middle of the gallery pages, and the girls on that sponsor ad looked a lot like the girls in the galleries...that's a no go.
