Can anyone recommend a good book on Fireworks, I looked at my local book store and all they had was books on photoshop.

I've been using www.lynda.com for me and my staff for almost a year - very happy for basic to intermediate training – not recommended for “pro tips” but it will get you started.

Hi, I used Fireworks for many years and still do. But its hard to find good books on it PS just took over the market and now they even bought macromedia or joint them
For tutorials on the web and books PS is the way to go IMHO
