TGP Autosubmitters

How do people feel about TGP autosubmitters? And are they any good ones out there for legitimate submitting?

Surfn 2004-01-14 10:55 AM

Autosubmitters are why most of the good TGP's have gone private. No one likes a flood of submits to the wrong cat |sad|

The Monkey 2004-01-14 11:42 AM

See this is my dilema, I am trying to be a good submitter, I'm making my own clean galleries, but I'm basically just trying to find a more efficient way of doing it all.

gmoney 2004-01-14 11:50 AM

Some TGP sites are now so adamant that they don't want auto-submits that they either have a field where you specify whether you did manual submission or suto submission so they can immediately purge out the auto-submits. Other sites ask you to place HS in front of your description so they can ignore auto-submits when they review. Your best possible way of getting posted is to manually submit and like Surfn said, make sure you follow their rules and select the appropriate category.

I don't doubt that you are. However, there is no substitute for hard work. Hand submit to as many as you can and find out which ones post your subs. That's the best way. From there you can narrow it down more by which TGP's convert for you. You are a victim of the times. There are hordes of new webmasters that don't give a shit about rules. Just read some of the threads here on the board. |sad|

I agree with Surfn on this one they are a great tool but the damn abuse is what kills there use :(

The Monkey 2004-01-14 01:48 PM

Well its a good thing I asked. It looks like its going to have to be a labor of love. Thank you all for the feedback.

You might want to try a proggie such as GASS or Advanced Submitter to increase efficiency of hand submitting. I especially like Advanced because it fills in most of the fields for you, then you just look over everything before ya punch that submit button on each site. Handy time saver, and well worth the price.

bstrawse 2004-01-14 10:22 PM

We're using Advanced Submitter in order to speed hand submits - once you've worked on the database for awhile to get it setup the way that you want and posting to the sites that you want.. I can do the 300-400 TGPs I want to post to in around 45 minutes or so.. and that's all hand submits.. but with facillitation from Advanced Submitter...

Great program..

You may want to take a look at Chameleon submitter. They have a hand submit section that seems to work well.

Ramster 2004-01-15 11:45 AM

My site is in Chameleon and most are a bunch or worthless fuckin' submits!!! The problem with AutoSubmitters is clueless newbies and scammers use them and abuse them so the 10% of honest webmasters that use them aren't worth it.

Only use GASS or Advanced submitter as they are the same as hand submitting. If you're serious about going into daily submits Do Not use an autosubmitter.

My site is on Cameleon as well and I agree that most of the submissions I receive suck. I was referring to Cameleon as a tool do do submissions. I can't compare it to GASS and Advance Submitter but it is an excellent tool for hand submissions.

I do all the big TGPs completely buy hand, but I do use the Russian Submitter to submit to 500+ small TGPs most of which send very little traffic.

MrMaryLou 2004-01-16 10:00 AM

Auto submitters are great for small tgps :) But the damn abuse factor for even the small tgps is insane :(

Russian Submitter, as I'm sure many can be, is good if used properly by someone smart. You need to go through and uncheck thehun, Worldsex and other known sites that do not take AutoSubmits.

Again though the problem is why these FN autosubmit owners just add sites to their program/software they know full well do Not take autosubmits? And therein lies the problem as a newbie to TGP submitting thinks great and wham, before he/she knows it they're blacklisted everywhere or some asshole thinks he can submit 10 galleries a day under different emails and domains. |banghead|

Cleo 2004-01-16 11:31 AM

Yeah I'm forever editing the database to remove TGPs that shouldn't be in there including fake TGPs that manage to get in there just so they can get a recip. So while the submitting cheaters use something like the RS to cheat TGPs some TGPs use the RS to cheat the submitters. |banghead|

There is just a whole lot of fucking going on and no one is having any fun. :(

No fun fucking? |smooch|

DangerDave 2004-01-16 03:37 PM

Because of this autosubmit crap... I simply dont understand the TGP'ers mentality...

I have galleries submitted or attempted to be submitted to me every day.. even though I banned the submitter up to 2 years ago.

Talk about a monumental waste of effort..;(

A few months ago on an auto-subber product board I suggested that they bring in a system where tgp owners could report cheats and the auto-subber either remove or sanction the offender in some way. I'd say 50% of cheating galleries come from probably 10 consortiums so it wouldn't be a giant loss for the auto-subber if they cancelled their a/cs. In return the auto-subber would be more trusted by tgp owners and probably get more customers because less tgps would be banning auto subs.

Anyhoo, I essentially got called a pathological moron by other board members (Please note - NOT by the auto-subber's owners or staff) for even suggesting such an idea - "why should the auto-subber cut off it's own nose blah blah blah"

I'd say 90% of ppl who use auto-subbers are honest non-cheats. But be aware, if you use one, you are lumped in with a few cheats who submit 30+ redirecting galleries a day. So, be clean, be very clean.

I guess the problem is feeling that no matter how honest you are when you submit if you are also doing avs, freesites and maybe something else you could be hitting tgp submit buttons manually all day and still be behind those that use the auto submit tools - honest or not.

I've decided to just try hand submits to a few dozen biggies and try autosubmit with he small ones and hope I don't piss off too many people.

I was trying to go the trusted partnership route but when everyone is going that way and you get up to 25 of them in the first week it take forever to be pasting in the codes every time. More of them should have the 'remember my password' function that a few have just to speed things up for those of us who are honest but don't have all the time in the world.

Actually, there are submitters that will save Your time and that will not get You banned and make a cheater out of You.

Hello Hun! Welcome. It's a great pleasure to have you drop by and post.

You run a fine site, the gold standard of TGPs.

Sarah_Jayne 2004-01-18 11:17 AM

isn't THE hun in the netherlands not Russia ?

Bill 2004-01-18 04:36 PM

Yes, well, I decided to take it at face value. You would have to be such a complete idiot to try to impersonate Hunny, or to try to appropriate his nickname, that to do so is tantamount to a death wish.

And the request for movie sponsors and the comment was consistent with things I've seen the real Patrick say.

I decided that in this case a welcome was called for, that it would unmask a counterfeit one way or the other, and no matter what friendliness as opposed to suspicion is a good position. I give the poster the oppurtunity to deny that he is "that Hun", and to explain his use of the name, and his claim to be sending a lot of signups.
