No contact with Xpowerlinks
 

Has anyone else been able to get in contact with the people at xpower links ? I have sent several emails and have gotten no reply as of yet. Its been about 3 or 4 weeks since the last time I spoke with one of there reps.

I was just wondering if it was just me having this problem or is it a general problem.

I also tried to go to their help desk http://support.xpowerlinks.com/helpdesk/ and the title says "Hacked By XYU" don't know if that means anything or not but it seems strange.

If anyone has a direct contact trough icq or any other program thats on right now could you please tell them about this thread or pass the icq along to me.

HACKED BY XYU is definitely not a message you wanna see on your linklist software (or it's supplier), ha ha ha.

That particular free Help Desk software has an SQL injection vulnerability.

yeah I would have to agree with that assessment Bill.

But what worries me more is the access of imformation they may have to other link list sites. Im not trying to start a panic or anything but I was in the process of getting an upgrade on my site and access was needed to my account to do the upgrades. So the imformation was sent to them via there support email. My thinking and paranoia is what if they have access to all emails sent back and forth between link list owner and them.

Thats why I changed all my access info and I suggest everyone else with this script who have sent information in the past do the same. At lease until we hear from one of there people.

You would think that someone would say something about whats going on, but I havn't even seen any of them online in days.

The hacker fucked with the HelpDesk (not created by the Xpowerlinks people) through a known vulnerability, but is doesn't appear that they have penetrated any deeper than that. The rest of the site is fine. Either they're on vacation or they have shit support. You'd think if they knew about their own help desk falling victim to some punk, they'd fix it immediately. I assume they must not know about it.

Of course, their customer database may have been deleted and they don't have a clue who you are anymore.

As far as support they usally take a few days to responde but its been almost a month since the last time I talked with them. I still have work that needs to be done so I might have to out source for now until there back to explain what happen.

If there is anyone with the script that knows the ends and outs of installs an upgrades to this script please contact me. Payment via epassporte will of course be given depending on the work done.

I hope everything gets sorted out soon. The script in itself is very good so im hoping I won't have to to change it.

i wrote to X-Power Links at support@xpowerlinks.com this morning and have not heard from them.
The last time I contacted them in mid-December 2006, they responded within hours.
Will let you know if they ever contact me.

i have icq contacts for them, i'll post them when i get to my main desktop, one contact for sales and another for scripting help.
