What do you think? I mean the recips. Will I have any problems with getting listed?

i can explain why i did it like that. but first i'd like to hear the opinion of the others.

I actually think that they look pretty damn cool. I have no idea what a reviewer would think of it though. I'm not sure why you are putting the index on the root of your domain...You would be better off building multiple freesites and galleries for her and linking to them from there I think.

I don't know what the big LL owners think about them but I don't see them as category recips but as general recips !

I've noticed you've build them using 2 gif's , the one linked to the main site and the other to the category site but they seem to me confusing.

Maybe I'm wrong ... let's see what the big guys think ;)

Very cool looking recips. I'd list a site with recips like this even though it is general and not a niche recip just because they are different and eye catching.

I just wouldn't want to spend that much time making those recips, but they do blend into the page well.

I'd list 'em, I prefer single recips straight to my index ;) Does seem like a lot of work to go through though.

I think that you made very good looking recips. I have really no idea what big LL owners think, but I'm sure that many LL owners should appreciate great design and visible placement of these recips |thumb

I like them. I'd accept them no problem.

They are different, but I think they might really blend in, even too much. With most LL's their recips are different and stand out, or try to. Not in this case. I also think they would probably get less clicks. Just my opinion.

Are they pretty? Sure.

Would I accept them? No.

Est Domains and Fedora-Hosting. A grand combo.

Why waste your time on that kind of BS when your site wont get listed - youre on a dot org which we wont list, youre on fedora which wont get listed, youre on the same IP with other domain names that rip off LL names and there area few "undesirable type" names shared there and then you waste your traffic by linking to a .uk domain intermediary page that is probably gonna get used to redirect SE traffic later instead of directly to ravens paysite?

I'm Wondering what Jayman will think of you using the name "Raven Riley" in your domain ... even tho you are promoting her .. I still think its a bit shady.

In regards to the recip .. they are fine but like others stated.. your on shaky ground being with EST and Fedora , .org isnt one of our favorite extension etc. (I dont like to have submissions from dot anything unless its .net or .com just my personal preference)

Now let me tell you my vision of the ideal free site.
I assume that free sites should be mainly made for SE's. Instead of making another one piece of a "garbage.net", you should build a good place for surfers and a search engines. And if you want your new site to not become a part of "one of a... something", it should be as much unique as possible. And what we have on an average free site today? Same warning text, same copied descriptions, same recips, etc.
not good, isn't? and google think so too when put the most of free sites into supplemental results.
So i just think, what can i do? I can write my own unique description. a warning text can be done in the original way too, or i can just make the "standart" warning message as a JPG - so google can't read it.
but what about the recips? they are usually the same on every free site on the net |confused|
i can make them as an image too, but all link lists require you to link to them with an anchor text they need. but google count the alt="" tags as a part of your page. so i use the title="" tag - it is counted as a part of site to which refer. so finally my free site is good enough for me and for LL's in a SEO context.
but, as many of you have noticed, the recips doesn't look good because it seems like they have no visible text (but actually there is a text when you point the mouse over) and seems like there is only one link (but there is two!).

this site exist to send a visitors to the original ravenriley.com, so what's the problem?

all domains are same, no matter where they're registered or hosted!
i feel fine on estdomains and don't really want to pay 2-3 times more on other registrars.
And i'm not going to play russian roulette guessing which registrar you will like and which dislike. if you don't like estdomains, well fine, you won't get a links on my site, someone else will recieve it. |waves|

and how about the 3th level .UK domains? what is your personal preference regarding this?
and what hosting you prefer?

Im happy that you think that you willl get listed and thats fine - Im telling you that you would not get listed because you arent a partner, and you are breaking just about every rule of almost all of the link lists out there - not just mine

If you dont want recommendations, then dont ask for them - and I can guarantee that no one cares one way or the other whether you "allow" them to be on your recip list :)
