No Toys for You!

I was bored so I clicked my own sig and found this update on sex toys in Alabama:

In a unanimous opinion, a three-judge panel for the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld an Alabama statute banning the commercial distribution of sex toys, saying that there is no fundamental right to privacy raised by the plaintiff’s case against the law.

According to the statute, it is “unlawful for any person to knowingly distribute any obscene material or any device designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs.”

I wouldn't wanna be running anything to do with adult if I was livin' in Bama, if a vibe is considered obscene what does that make a boob or a vagina?

I'm in Alabama and knew the law banning sex toys had been taken to court. Didn't know there was an outcome. The way I understand it they can sell vibes, they just can't resemble a penis. Just smooth plastic to be sold as a "massager".

I also read recently that a clerk in TX got in trouble for telling an undercover female cop that the "massager" she was buying could be used for sexual stimulation...

and again in TX recently I saw on the news that a non-nude chipendales type show was raided by the police, the bar was shut down and the male dancers were arrested for dancin in a sexual way...

In Jackson, MS there is a mayor that loves to go out in SWAT gear and raid the stores - and shut them down - as well as strip clubs
Unfortunately he also does it to low-income housing projects thinking he is preventing crime by raiding them with his "SWAT" team - him all dressed up in armor and waiving around his gun - he just got hit with a charge of a concealed weapon so I guess he's gonna have to go to court now :)

The phrase is:
"any device designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs"
so I think you'd be in trouble even if it didn't look like a dick.

And yet, funnily enough, Viagra is legal in Alabama.
