Up a touch early this morning for some reason. I think it may be a little warm out today but really have no idea :) Busy, busy day today :)

Found out Saturday that my dad had a house fire at his place in Missouri, but the fire dept saved his house and he was ok.
Found out last night that there was more to it. Somebody broke in and stole the safe he had in his office. Not a big deal, except that the safe had 175,000 dollars in it he was loaning me to buy a house. The fire was set to cover up the burglary. His house is not livable due to smoke and water damage , and my house purchase is put on hold indefinately.
Paypal hasn't fixed my issue from yesterday, so I think I'll call and cuss them out for good measure shortly.

I think today is screaming for me to not do squat, but I feel like being a rebel and busting butt double time to take my mind off the situations that seem to slam headfirst into my petty little existence.
A little |potleaf| should help alleviate the overwhelming desire to slap the shit out of any and everybody with a pulse. If not, avoid me at all costs today!

It's a wet one here today. Oddly it has been raining more since water restrictions were announced.

Someone named Chad keeps on emailing me this.
"I am an amateur adult film actor who wishes to go professional in the menstrual porn genre. Please send me a media packet at your earliest convenience."

No real plans for today other then the gym and making the porn.

If I were a female, I'd wait for Aunt Flow to visit & send them a very special Media Packet :D

After reading FanTC's post..my day, week, month and year do seem like Paradise. Sorry to hear that. Sounds like someone with inside knowledge.

Then I read Cleo's email .. since i've been up since 230am PDT (130am PST) I think I need to go back to bed and pull the covers over me before the room heats up from the sun pouring in.

On my agenda today is kicking some very needed ARSE at the Clark Co. School district for requiring algebra but not teaching basic "change" for those who aspire to work at the drive thru. Karmatically honest person that I am, I gave back the 22.00 they overpaid me for my 5.69 breakfast.

Wow is it raining. I can't even see my neighbor's house across the street from me. Oddly my sprinklers came on too.

Still trying to decide if going to the gym is a good idea or not. The parking lot at the gym tends to flood when it rains this hard as do some of the streets that I need to drive on to get there and my Vette tends to not do well in flooded streets. Plus my sinuses have been bothering me since yesterday afternoon and I'm worried about getting sick again. Not that there is anything else to do on a rainy day like this although I guess I could actually get some work done.

Last night some friends came over to watch The L Word and Battlestar Galactica on my Tivo. One of them is a Pagan and carries rocks (she will correct me and tell me they are magic crystals) in her pocket. She let me hold one so I put it in the microwave along with the rice I was cooking. Wow did she get disturbed over me nuking her rock.

What were we talking about again?

Cooler today so going to do some yardwork. Also have to take MadHatter to the doctor. After 10 years, I've finally convinced him to go for a physical when he took his blood pressure the other day, and it was high. I don't want anything happening to him, so I'm dragging his ass down there to see my dr who is a great lady.

Other than that, the usual porn. It sure is nice to feel better again and to be over the cold from hell. |bananna|

FanTC, that is absolutely terrible. I hope everything works out there for you and I hope that the police find the people responsible quickly.

There are two water shortage laws broken in that statement. :) Though one is rather shaky as I don't know the age of your irrigation system.

Spent last night tracking down security bugs on one of our machines -- damn those guys are getting ingenious.

Plenty of work on tap for today, no work shortage here.

Vintage 1958 with a couple of upgrades. It has two huge 110 volt water solenoids and a 110 volt control circuit for the pump's contactor. Some time ago the third water solenoid died and was replaced with a 24 volt solenoid as was the three mechanical timers that controlled the three zones. This meant adding some 24 volt relays to control the old 110 volt circuits. The housing from one of the old mechanical timers was used to house the relays and a Rain Bird digital timer was used to control everything. The Rain Bird digital timer is a pain in the ass to program and I've been thinking of replacing it with this X10 one since I already have a X10 system in my house controlling other stuff. I could also then add a rain sensor to this one. Still the pump is noisy and there is no way I'm going to have it come on before 10 am like the city wants me to as it wakes me up.

I thought the restrictions allowed watering between 5-7pm, but, it is listed as hand watering only.

That is a nice controller. One day I'll get around to adding a rain sensor to ours. :)

This week's schedule is getting flipped around so I've been working on things I thought I wouldn't get to until the end of the week but by then I'll be busy with stuff I wanted to have done by tomorrow but won't be starting until after then now.

FanTC - I was sad to hear of the no-poboy day, but the new developments definitely suck big time. I hope they catch the thieving arsonist bastard(s) who did that. I hope the week gets better for you.
