I just bought my dream car

Well, it was my dream car back when I was 24 :)

Very good condition and a big $300 :)

Cleo 2007-03-29 03:33 PM

I wanted one when they came out too. I really liked the second version that was introduced right before they stopped making them.

Jim 2007-03-29 03:43 PM

Yep, me too Cleo :)
The car I bought was owned by an old guy that bought it new. He even gave me all the receipts for everything he had done to it. He did have the little engine fire problem fixed and the cooling problem :)

Greenguy 2007-03-29 04:11 PM

More proof of how cheesy the 80's really were :D

sylvanio 2007-03-29 07:37 PM

it's look like the K2000 car LOL :D

bluemoney 2007-03-29 08:15 PM

I always pictured you as a classic GTO or Chevelle SS kind of guy.

ecchi 2007-03-29 08:27 PM

The Pontiac I always wanted was their Trans Am. I guess that is probably because I fancied Sally Fields and Burt Reynolds kept picking her up in one.

Jim 2007-03-29 09:16 PM

The Fiero is more of a cult car. It's the Corvair of the 80s :)

I never thought about it like that, but now that you mention it I think you hit it dead on :D

lorsha 2007-03-30 07:37 AM

I had to have a fiero when they came out. Candy apple red. Had it for only 6 months, and traded it in. Was just to dam small inside.

Ramster 2007-03-30 08:39 AM

A Fiero? Ummm, ok. :D

So... what would be the Fiero of the 90s then?

:D

Sweet :) I loved those cars growing up as a kid, and was hell bent on getting one when I first got my license. Not sure why I never got one though. Well probably because I drove around an old Chrysler K car Reliant, an Oldsmobile 88 88', and an Oldsmobile Acheiva that I got all for free. I used to see Fieros everywhere around here just 6 or 7 years ago, but now they seem pretty rare.

my dad always had the hots for american car...i will never forget he had a Pontiac firebird, not very handy if you have 4 persons to put in that car and i remember he drove by at my highschool and people said who is that pimp.....they said Stttttttttt thats stu's dad he is not a pimp...... it are nice cars:D if i check back on my life, i still believe i was born in the wrong country, you wont find american cars here just as easy, but my dad had always american cars...his favorite...the corvette

Cleo 2007-03-31 06:55 PM

I do love driving my Vette. :)

The GPS unit that I put in it this week gives me the max speed that I've gone each trip. I had no idea that I regularly break 100 mph when I drive the freeway. :D

CaptainJSparrow 2007-04-02 08:50 PM

Back in the early 80's I wanted a Ferrari (because of Magnum, PI), but I couldn't afford one. So, I set my sites on a Fiero...couldn't afford that either. Congrats Jim.

TGPBro 2007-04-06 04:49 AM

old cars.. they are so sexy! :)

Tekko 2007-04-06 12:09 PM

When I was a kid, brother told me that Ferrari became American and that's how their cars are gonna look like from then on.

Jim 2007-04-06 03:58 PM

I just got word that my dream car needs new rear lower control arms. They are about $100 :) If they said those words about my truck, it would have been well over a grand for parts alone. Part of the Fiero beauty is most Chevette parts fit :)

Now all you need is a members only jacket to complete the picture.

Already have it and I have a nice tape with only early 80s music. :) If it's not on a cassette and made before 1985, I don't want it. And, the cheesier the music, the better. :)

Fiero, member's only, Mr. Roboto playing, gotcha...now we just need a popular cologne from the 80's...umm, either Polo or English Leather? lol. Also don't forget the swatch.
