Girls Gone Wild guy now caught with drugs

He just can't catch a break...

http://www.tmz.com/2007/04/12/joe-fr...on-water-gate/

"Girls Gone Wild" bad boy Joe Francis has allegedly been found with pills in his Florida jail cell -- and the reason he got caught is because he allegedly tried to bribe a guard for a bottle of water with a $100 bill on Wednesday night.

And get this ...TMZ has also learned that the President of Mantra Films, Scott Barbour, the company that produces "Girls Gone Wild," has also been arrested by the Bay County Sheriff on suspicion of slipping the pills and the cash to Francis. Authorities say Barbour made the handoff when he visited Francis Wednesday night at the jail. Now Barbour is an inmate at the same jail as Francis.

The TV advertising has made him a target for everybody. We might be looking at the next Larry Flynt

There was some senators bill that wanted to ban porn ads on late night cable TV that mentioned Girls Gone Wild as an example.

The head of the DOJs task force has also mentioned him as a prime target for proscecution.

Agree, or disagree with whether he takes advantage of drunk chicks. Flashing boobs at springbreak/Mardi Gras has been around for a long time. I seem to remember something like Bead Whores actually managed to take it through the courts.

What the hell is he thinking? He also was charged with bribery. He tried to bribe a guard for a bottle of water?

He was in jail for contempt of court and would have been out on thursday. Now, after a major stupid attack, he faces more serious charges.
He was charged with bribing a public servant, three counts of possessing a controlled substance and five counts of introducing contraband -- cash and drugs -- into a detention facility. The charges are third-degree felonies punishable by up to five years in prison.

I thought the Feds, once he was in jail, also filed charges against him on Tax evasion??

He does appear to have enough charges against him to keep him busy for a good while.

Apparently he called the judge in the civil case "Judges Gone Wild".

Even my lawyer tells me not to say anything in court. He's also a little in awe of my ability to instantly connect the dots between non-related items. Guess 35+ years as an analyst makes me view the world a little different than most folks.

Tanya_AWP 2007-04-13 03:12 PM

he should have waited for thursday....

Tommy 2007-04-13 03:37 PM

hes an asshole
I seen him in a fox interview about a week or 2 ago
I was surprised that Fox was very fair with him

he said, he has the utmost respect for the law and for the courts

Who will run the new restaurants with him in jail?? Or do you think those deals will remain intact with everything going on? |huh
