pr question
How should someone with page rank 0 get higher rank when everybody wants to excange links with high page rank sites? Is pr 0 site suposed to excange links with pr0 sites first and then later with higher ones?
|
Now this is strictly my opinion but anyone who uses PR as a means of evaluating the merit of a link exchange is not someone I care to trade with.
Then again I'm easy. I just look at the site someone wants to trade with and if it looks like one that I would recommend to a friend, then I'll exchange links. |
Well, i have free sites hub (main page where are my sites) and when i type something in search engines allways as a result comes my free sites, never main page. So i guess thats because free sites are linked from link lists, and main page is not linked from anywhere. So if someone has free sites hub and wants to excange links of main page to get beter results on search engines just post(i have pr 0 to mention). Maybe im wrong about whole this thing, if so, correct me please.
thanks Lesa. |
your right, you need some hard links on your hub. Post in the link and traffic trade forum. Look through there and pm some of the other people have posted

I agree with Walrus
The key thing is traffic. I'm getting good quality traffic right now, and my site is only about 3 months old. My PR is 0 still for some reason, but I don't really care even if it was a 6. Just trade with content related sites to yours, and you'll do just fine. If they don't want to trade just becaues of PR.. go to the next person. Link trade takes time, but it pays off in the end.

I used to live by the PR thing and I have a site with a PR5 that gets 500 hits a day and a PR4 that gets 2400 a day. Add a few PR0 new sites that get between 300 to 400 a day and although the pr can be used as a 'rough' guide it is not the be all and end all.
Now if I get a link exchange request the first thing I do is enter the 'url' in question into Google to see if it has been indexed and I have a look at the cache if I do not know the webmaster to check that all is in order. Then most important, do I like the look and feel of the exchange partners site, will it get well indexed good traffic and has it got content or is it a quick one page site full of links and no real content I then look at his/her site to see how many outward links 100+ or so and again I am not interested. Just the way I do things... |
Like others said, on some of your new freesites you make, use one of the 3 spots as a link to your main index page using the sites name as the link. On your other domains, if you have any, use links from them to this index using the words you want to search for.
With your free sites will come PR. I had 1 link to my site that gave me a pr 1. I dont think the pr has had the "big update" for about 3 monthes or so , so that could be why yours hasn't changed. It may happen soon though. Just find people to trade links with. There is a post by sheepguy who is looking to trade links for one of his banners and he has a pr 6 site. Not sure if he wants a trade with a hub, but might look anyway. |

is it same as external link "http://www.site.com/freesite/freesite1" would it be better if i use external links, because i think that search engines dont count links to your site from your site anyway? Anyway thanks guys i will post in link excange topic now. |
