Odd Kinky Dollars stats?

Anyone else see some odd Kinky Dollars stats in the last week or so? Just the other day it said I sent about 7,000 hits in one day to one site, however with only 260 uniques. The hits all appeared to come from one of their promo pages according to the referrer data on their site. Today something else like this is happening. It says that I am sending 250 hits so far today but with only 9 uniques -- which isn't correct, I suspect.

Uh, what the .... ?

Did you ask them if they knew of any stats issues?

No. I wrote a unrelated (?) request via their support form inquiring about my ratios (cough) a few weeks ago and have yet to hear anything on that. So I didn't bother yet. Stats lounge speaks of a move in software which could take weeks and possible stat delays. But this was around a month ago.

I'm just wondering if it is just myself or others as well.

Yeah,. mine look a bit fucked at well - about a 5:1 ratio between raw & unique for month-to-date (it's usually very close - maybe 5:4)

I also noticed that they're moving to MPA & there's a note in there that says "...Please note that we are testing our new affiliate backend system MPA3 over the next few weeks. In this period, you may notice a delay in your sales reporting..." so that might be what's causing the problem as well.

I submitted a ticket :)

My guess is that there's a glitch in their system that over reports raw hits. Checking back my uniques have remained pretty stable, but raws have shot trough the roof.

Allfetish, good luck with your ratio question. I must have submitted 5 or 6 tickets/e-mails about a ratio issue some time back with no response. Funny thing, whenever I've had a question about something not related to my earnings (or lack thereof) they got back to me within hours.

Yes I sent them that request a week or two back about ratios and haven't got an answer. The only other time I contacted them was over a year ago about a late/lost check. So it isn't like I am pestering them constantly or anything. This was back when they were CNE. I was answered that same day and was impressed at that time. Now I understand it is different owners?

yeah lemmy I always got a quick responce too..

I can say its a good program, pays me every month and retains

I think they grown so many webmasters that there isnt enough help to take care of every question, unless its an emergency. who knows

my stats look about normal

I been knowing they are starting to use mpa and am wondering if my money will be the same

I got a reply yesterday afternoon (I was already offline for the day)

The number of uniques looks about right, if you're sending the same volume of traffic as the last few months, or slightly more. I agree that the raw looks too high. I have just spoken to our programmers and yes, it is possible that something changed in the rampup to MPA3. He tells me that in the new system only uniques will be available because the raw figure isnt very meaningful, because you never know what to count as someone naviagates the sites. So the short answer is that the unique hits is the statistic to look at and that raw hits gives a very vague measure of stickiness

Thanks for the update, Greenguy. Unfortunately I am at over 1:2500 UNIQUES with them over the last few months. I wish I could easily pull all the links to them as at this point I just feel I am throwing money away. It is sad as they used to be my best sponsor.

Hey guys - we are in the process of updating the backend of our affiliate system. We recently stopped tracking raw hits, and now only track unique hits. That might be the change that you are seeing. If there are any other issues - please let me know...

Kinky Dollars 2007-06-08 05:00 PM

In terms of response times to tickets - Williiam and I are now managing the KiNKY Dollars program, as of this week, and we apologize if there was a delay in response while we were in transition.

We are responding to all tickets now within 24 hours, and you can always contact me directly...

Cheers!
