Interesting stuff about how much Playboy made in online/mobile adult biz: "while online/mobile revenues were up 2% to $15.7 million compared to last year."

That means they make about $60 million in revenue per year from their internet/mobile business.

Do you know revenue/profit figures of any large sponsor? It would be interesting to know.

It would be interesting, however I don't believe that these figures are that readily available. Are any major sponsors/producers listed or part of listed groups (I would be surprised)

Very interesting, anybody know of any other adult companys that are listed. Maybe it could be possible to set up a mutual fund investing in porn assets. Anybody interested in investing in such a fund?:D

It doesn't really make sense for most porn companies to be traded publicly. You go public with a company to get large amounts of capital (among other, more vainity related reasons). Most porn companies are not willing to become their shareholders bitches in exchange for a ton of money to invest for the simple reason they don't need a ton of money to invest. If your trying to get in on ppv across the nation on cable or dish, like the above company, then you might need to. But the majority of us can sell porn to lots of people with comparitively little costs involved. Just doesn't make good sense, unless your a douchebag who just wants to say "I have a publicly traded company". |thumb
