New guy asking a new question
 

Hey, I am an amateur blogger and want to improve my cheap looking blog. Is this somewhere I can put up a url and have honest people critique it? Or is it somewhere that I better pm a mod and ask advice. I would like to ask for a few tips and tricks for my blog. Thanks alot in advance. - pjb79

There's a Blog and Blogging Forum on this board and yes, post the URL and you'll get some very good, honest, helpful critique. |thumb

Licker4U is right, the blogs and blogging forum is the place to start. Feel free to post your blog URL there but also browse the posts too as you probably can find a lot of the answers you seek contained in them.

You aren't using enough text.
Your posts are so long that they don't hold the surfer's interest.
You've chosen some very poor ad placement.
You are under-marketing your sponsors.
You are over-marketing your sponsors.
Use more pics within your entires.
Don't use so many pics in your entries.
Pay more attention to SEO.
You are in danger of being over-optimized.
Your domain name isn't the best choice.
I really like the domain you chose for this blog.
