We've seen the prototypes and heard the speculation for years now, but here we have it, the world's first solar cell phone, and you can buy one right now...if you happen to live in China.
I want one of those phones, its a really cool concept :)

When I first saw this title I thought you were talking about China being named the world's largest contributor of CO2 :)

But I do like the idea of the phone.

the description is kinda vague but it sounds to me like you still need a regular charger, and the panels only add a little to battery life...

anyhow, cool gadget. definitely a giant step forward in this area! pretty soon you'll see these batteries on everything

Oh yeah, thats coming

here is the weird thing, I am sure I am not the only member of this board who remembers the 70s and the alternatives they had back then.. solar power, wind power, using recycled material.

I have no idea why they dropped out of favor but making an oven and filtering water with stuff you have around the house made for some very cool school projects. The problem is it was hippies doing this stuff at the time so the general population was hesitant to really get behind it... short sighted fuckers

Probably wouldn't be very popular with vampires.

Seriously, that could be a huge idea if the battery would hold a charge long enough.
