How can I improve this free site?

Hello Greenguy and Jim and everyone else! I wonder if you all may be able to point out some things I could be doing wrong, or that I could be doing better.

This is my latest free site, not submitted yet.

http://www.amateurvehicle.com/strictly-panties/

Thanks for any tips or things I should avoid. Have a good one.

LowryBigwood, in my opinion your free site looks like one big advertisment for Strictly Panties. The site is called Strictly Panties, the sponsor is Strictly Panties and you have links all over the place to Strictly Panties.

Its just a mass of blind links to the sponsor and the poor old sufer would get their panties in a twist trying to find the free content. I cant see it being listed anywhere :(

What DallasDeb said :(

interesting response, not quite what I had picutered, but it was interesting and thank you for you post.

I dont quite understand how these are blind links, as I am telling my surfers where they can find more quality panty pics?

And isn't that what a free site is about, selling your paysites? How do I make money giving away free content?

Please overlook my ignorance, as I am just a newbie.

I really appreciate all responses, I think this newb is lost. |pcsucks|

That huge ad that is on your main page has what look just like clickable thumbs so the surfer is going to click them expecting to get big pics, not a paysite. This would be a blind link.

LowryBigwood 2004-01-22 09:24 PM

Ok... I am somewhat confused.

So I should just use all text links, and make sure they know they are going to a paysite to buy a membership for a certain price?

So atleast, if i get a click through, atleast the free loader knows where he is going?

I guess I have heard more than one approach, and that may be where I may be confused. Do we build free sites, for freeloading surfers, or to make sales?

Thanks, and please know that I really appreciate any and all information, as I would like to learn how to make a living at this. |sad|

Do you watch TV or read magazines or listen to the radio? They all are designed to entertain you so that you will see the ads that they show.

As much as we would all like to be able to skip the entertaining part and just show our wonderful ads to our surfers it don't work that way.

Yes that is very true Cleo. And the paysites can entertain them. I am like the commercial, I am trying to sell something, an adult membership........, the paysite can be the entertainment, no?

I mean, if I understand you correctly, what I have learned from day 1 is, not correct?

I really want to understand, I guess I am just a lost newbie soul. lol

Have a good one.

No you don't get it.

Your free site needs to work them up, get them excited, and get them off to the sponsor.

If you skip the first part then you aren't going to get them off to the sponsor. They are just going to change the channel and find a free site that does.

LowryBigwood 2004-01-22 09:51 PM

ok thanks cleo.

I guess I'll keep on reading, try to put the puzzle together.

Greenguy 2004-01-23 08:00 AM

LowryBigwood - with this one, I'd just tone down the sponsor ads on the 1st 2 pages.

Get rid of the Strictly Panties image on the top & the big text link to them int he mddle of the page.

Make the font size on the enter link at least equal to the text link to the sponsor under it.

The ad on the 2nd page is a FPA & seeing as I have to scroll down to see the gallery links, I wouldn't list it. Also, the gallery links are very small compared to the font on the rest of the page.

The galleries are ok, except that you look to have the tables that the thumbs are in left aligned and since everythign else is centered, they look a little off :(

Thank you GG.

I appreciate the help. I have reworked the site to try to comply.

Hopefully it will get listed.

Greenguy 2004-01-23 09:35 AM

Better :)

LowryBigwood,

If I may interject my 2 cents.

The first thing that struck Me was the white background.
(Your presentation is coming) LOL

Think of this.... if your are surfin' (privately)
and white comes up... what happens?
The room lights up and there's a QUICK click out.
IMHO, never use a white background unless ya know how 2 use it.

Next, don't tell what U have found.
Speak of what your sponsor will do for them.
(Get into the mind and make there reality)

Next... (personally I NEVER give prices on My sites... but that's Me)
I feel it's My purpose to promote and send quality traffic. The end sale is from My sponsor. I DON'T sell on My sites... I just hopefully gain interest and get those fucker's horny and/or at least interested.

I don't see anything in your warning.
Do you know how 2 make good frames?
If not..... do a simple (keyword filled) text link.

As far a link list links (and the LL's are very well to respond if I am wrong) There's NO need to fill a page with graphic when a good TEXT link is mutually beneficial (#1... it loads quicker on your page, takes up less space, and uses almost no BW) For the LL... it's keyword filled and gives relavance to the search engines.

As far as... http://www.amateurvehicle.com/strict...ties/main.html

Your top graphic looks great.
U prolly won't get linked... BUT, it looks great.

Your gallery links are WAY 2 small imho
And..... once again (imho) don't talk price...
Just get them horny and get them 2 the sponsor.
Let the sponsor do the biz :-)
Our purpose (imho) is to promote and send quality traffic.
Ours is NOT to sell (imho) we are promoters.

I'll stop now since I have a book goin' on. LOL

Thanks Frank.

Can you explain what you meant about the warning , and frames?

Thanks for all the tips, I'll have to try to evolve my building process. Have a good one.

Not much more can be said....You have nice content, and adding maybe 5 more pics may improve your chance of getting listed as well. This is a free site, not a tgp.
