Some Guy Copied My Entire Site!
 

It's a bit older version, but there is no doubt this is my entire site that has been copied by this jackass. He even left most of my ref codes in from what I can tell.

Seems to be getting common now with the backward countries like eastern europe and china.

I still remember when the owner of one of the largest TGPs out there was starting a link list - hired a webmaster to do it - who promptly copied my site and presented it to the owner with the title changes - but the metas all remained the same - down to the copywrite statement at the bottom of the pages :)

Of course it took me contacting the owner to get it taken down since it immediately took all my places in the SEs :)

So, after sending an email(cease & desist form i found online) to what i believed to be the contact for the domain and what i believed to be the host, the site is still up and running strong. I actually have access to the stats on that domain since he copied my site completely and he is pulling some se traffic from google. I know this is probably not helping my rankings any. What can I do now? |huh

have you complained to abuse@servage.net -this website's hosting?

Well, because he didn't change any of the ref codes you may get some sales :D Some people are really stupid ... Try to email abuse department and tell them what happened. Maybe they will be able to explain him what he did and he should pull the site down. I hope

You may want to try sending a "takedown notice" under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) since you do have a copyright notice on your website. ISPs tend to act quickly when they receive those in order to protect themselves under the "safe harbor" provisions of the act.

To get his listings off Google you can do the same thing, see the info here.

Your ref codes on other peoples pages who might break your sponsors TOS could be more costly then a few sales.

IF I may ask, how exactly did you find the clone of your site. I have had a feeling for a while now that someone has been cloning my galleries.
I know, I make a lot of mistakes but half my 404 list looks like someone is just feeling their way through my directory structure looking for things.
I know i am on a banner farm in china. I know where it is and how I got there. That I can solve, the rest is still a mystery to me lol :)

Because the joker copied my entire site complete with my javascript that tracks visitors. I have stats to his site, so I noticed that way.

That doesn't prove anything as most of the chinese scam sites are registered from the US.
Don't take it personal but there are alot of problems with eastern europe especially with credit card fraud, not to mention the amount of eastern europeans coming to the UK thieving cars, doing burglaries and drugs.

I won't say here that Eastern European webmasters are all honest people. I despise all the cheaters and thieves no matter where they come from. I'm also aware that a lot of cheaters come from those countries, including mine. And the list is quite big. For reference, pick some affiliate program and the chances are you'll see this list in their TOS.

Most of the time the UK is used BECAUSE of the fact that the countries are banned by affilitate programs.

The thing with the thieving cars or any crime associated with eastern europe is the lack of policing in those countries hence the backward label.
