Question about FS and LL in your country

Hello,

I'm french FS builder, i have already 70 FS in france, i would like to do in the US market too, in france we have some rules diferent, so i dont know if my actuals FS is ok for your market or not...

Except the french language, what i need to change in my FS?

I see some FS in the US market with PHP (cannot in france), big advertise (cannot in france), ect.

You can see some of my FS in France here :

I would to know about LinkList too, i just have new french LinkList (hopitalsexe.com), if i do the same in english, is ok for you and begin receive Freesites ?

Thank you.

Ps: i'm sorry if i forget something about this board, maybe i need to introduce myself somewhere ?

There is a bunch of familiar recips from "usa" LL :D

Greenguy 2007-07-05 01:30 PM

I've never heard of different countries having different free site rules.

I'd never heard of different rules in different countries either, but it's good to know there are so many French language sponsors and LL's out there. I'd even be interested in building in French if I could get paid in Euros, living in Canada.

Yes we have some diferent rules, if somebody want the best list of french sponsor please ask me, i can help you in french market if you want :)

I'd like to see a list of french sponsors and a copy of your rules. It will be interesting to see what differences there are.

Najoh 2007-07-06 12:50 PM

I will send you message with everything inside :)

So are the rules put in place by the French...or are the in place in all French speaking coutries & areas, like Quebec?

Najoh 2007-07-06 08:32 PM

All french speaking, you can see my valid FS here, if you cannot accept this in your linklist, it's mine we have diferent rules :)

The rules in france are more "simple" because we dont have many FS builders and for the moment maybe 70 LL or 80 LL.

We need more LL.

The french FS market is very young for the moment, maybe less than one year, bur for boost the market i think is good idea if US people for make LL and FS join we are market.

If you need some information ask me, official FS board, sponsors, or something like that.

how are your French sales?

tigermom 2007-07-23 11:21 AM

Well, who knew. I wonder if they have FS in Germany, Holland, Japan, wherever. It's kinda fun looking at something that looks like a FS, but is all in French :D Oh, wait, it is a FS but in French!

annie_cash 2007-07-23 11:25 AM

Some differences:

French fs uses 9 recips, english sites use 9, 12, 15, or sometimes even 20

in fr long strophes linked to the sponsor are allowed, even when the sponsor name is not mentionated (its more like a blind link), in the english spoken market you cant do that.

In fr you dont need the USC complilance link but the ICRA "etiquette" (an image linked to ICRA site). and thats only in the index page. In the eng. market you need a link to the "18 US.C. ' 2257 compliance notice" in every pages.

french market usually uses a big 18+ image and an "X" to warn people, english sites only uses the warning thing.

Emm...thats all I can think about right now, hope it was useful! |loony|

Everyone does realize that this isn't a French vs English issue, but it's simply "Follow the laws of the area you live in", right?

Not true. Legally, I don't think this issue has been resolved. And as far as link lists go, very few demand any type of 2257 statement on submitted free sites.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone state what MUST be used as the warning on the warning page. I know of a couple of submitters who use the 18+/Parental Advisory image and I've seen warning pages which contain no warning at all. I think we all use the same standard warning because we lack imagination in that area and it's easiest to go with the flow.
