Google's Analytics - What do you guys think?

Do you think it's a bad idea to sign up for this? The stats they give are really awesome... but I wonder if it reveals too much to Google?

I have only heard good things about it so far... Provides some really nice information ;)

Well my concern was because you can group sites together under one account. Doing this tells sites are all related to each other. I wonder if they take this into account when they look at backlinks between these sites? Has anybody heard of anything like this?

They already know what you own. They became a registered registrar just so they'd know who owns what. I assume that if Google learns to trust you, it would be beneficial that they know which sites are yours. If they don't trust you, it wouldn't be so nice. That's the best guess my Associates degree in Liberal Arts can come up with.

I use it on one of my sites, the stats are really good as there's a ton of information there. The only downside the tendency to analyze the snot out of everything, which is kinda time consuming :D

edit to add: actually, my google traffic has been steadily increasing too, I don't think it's related but you never know...

Seems like a good reason to sign-up

Tried it on one of my blogs. While it gives you a ton of info, it wasn't very useful for me. I prefer to extract stats from server logs, when I need them. I just don't like to put on my pages anything that's not under my control.

Google analytics is very useful and can be used on https pages too. Though this way Google get too much information of site and personally I don't think It is harmful in anyway.
