im back in business! doorway pages question
first off, some of you may remember me. i submitted sites to alot of you 3 years ago, for about 2 years. about 8 months ago all my domains were stolen and i was out of business due to lack of money (my income dropped to 0, except for the few recurring things i had) but im back in business now (woohoo!)
anyways, i know alot of linklists have the 'no doorway pages!!" rule, i obviously need to make doorway pages if i want to submit to more then 8 places, my question is... i know these linklists dont like things like .com/free-site/index5.htm and such, but will they be happy with .com/free-site/5/index.htm ?? the only possible reason i can think that this rule exists is because of search engines not liking pages that are near duplicates of others. i really appreciate all the traffic everyone has sent me over the years, and i hope to get back in the 'game' and on everyones good side, which is why im asking this question. thanks everyone :) its good to be back. |
Hey neticule - I remember you - you're still on the blacklist.
|
why?
aww thats awful to hear :( may i ask why? I know a few places put me on the blacklist when my domains were stolen, because the thief added popups to my pages and redirected some. I do NOT do this, i do the best i can to make each site unique, and once i submit it, i forget it. (i.e. i dont make any changes whatsoever).
i know you were upset about my fs-submit program back then also, but you should be happy to hear that its not being used by anyone but me anymore. i wont let anyone else use it because too many people were idiots and couldnt learn to change your (and others) recips out. its not an autosubmitter of course, i do visit every submit page and i fill out the form by hand, and i put up the correct recip link before i even submit. also, if you remember, i honered your request back then and took your linklist off of fs-submit, as i did with any linklist that requested it. to be honest your reply kinda hurt my feelings man, im a very good and honest webmaster (obviously im honest if im still using the same nickname), you have probably listed over 150 of my sites a few years back (and i really appreciated it), not one of these did i ever change after submitting, if they got changed it was all the thieves doing, as well as templates, i never submitted the same template within 2 weeks (usually a month) of eachother, as i usually would make about 30 templates before submitting. please let me know why im blacklisted, i appreciate your reply but i am honest in saying that it did hurt my feelings, it seems like you think i am the bad guy here. i plan on posting on your message board alot in hopes of getting a better relationship with you, and all the others here. sorry to be so honest, i hope it doesnt result in another reply like the last one. I truly never meant to do anything wrong, EVER. |
You're blacklisted for redirecting sites after they were listed - TWICE!
Of the 50 or so submits that I still have of yours in my admin, it looks like only 10 of them were ever listed, so that factors into things as well. Plus the name "Kevin" seems to pop into my head for some strange reason. |
hmm
i have no idea why kevin pops into your head, my real name is garry hatch, as you can see on the whois for my website (youngcherrys.com)
after much trouble i was able to get ONE of my domains back. the guy that stole my domains name may be kevin, im not sure. i do NOT and will NEVER redirect traffic. I ran a linklist before also (sadly this was stolen) and I also frown on such practices. i have an htaccess that redirects to my front page if someone goes to a 404, this is why so many pages were redirected. when the guy stole my domains, all my free sites didnt exist anymore, and thus my htaccess redirected these things. but once i got youngcherrys back, everything was ok (my server never changed, so all the pages are still there) if you will throw me a PM i will show you all the evidence i have gathered against the guy that stole my domain names (im currently trying to get the other 2 back). hopefully this will help you better believe me. I can also refer you to several of my sponsors that i have been in contact with that know what i have been going through as far as the theft. Tony from cybernetentertainment is one that i had contacted the day these were all stolen, and he is well aware of my situation, as well as several people at ARS. hell, you even have several of my BYOT's listed on your site. I will do anything i can to make things right with you greenguy, I have never intentionally done anything wrong, the guy that stole my domains ruined my fucking life for a good long while and im just starting to pick up the pieces again, and things like this that just keep reminding me of the theft really get me down. Please pm me or contact me on icq: 218776642 - and if you so desire you can give me a phone call at home. I really feel badly that you dont believe me... And just so your aware, the 2 domains that are still under the thieves possesion are nudity-hunter.com and adult-adobe.com, i have faxed a buncha info to the registrar to get adult-adobe.com back and im awaiting to see if its possible. |
proof
here is proof that im not kevin. i cant believe im posting it, but i will do anything in my power to gain your trust again. As you can see, my drivers license matches my whois info.

See for yourself the guy isnt a cheat by any means bro. Regards, Lee |
OK - I'll pull you off the blacklist - but please remember, you've been on there twice now - 3 strikes & your out.

Thanks GG appreciate you helping the guy out :) Regards, Lee |
thank you
Thank you greenguy :) I was beginning to think convincing you was a lost cause :P
I totally understand, you wont see any more fuck-ups from my sites, i have registrar lock turned on now so they cannot be stolen. I really appreciate it. |
As for doorways, here is the best way to do it (IMHO):
create thing/1/ things/2/ things/3/ and copy into each one EACH of the html pages for the site (index, inside, gallery pages). Put the images on the root /thing/ and have allt he sub sites pull from that. That will make your doorways appear to be complete individual sites, and you won't run afoul of any rules I know of. thx
Thanks alex :) I was hoping someone would reply with an answer to my original question, i didnt forsee this thread going in the direction it took |bananna|
|
how can someone steal your domain and use it ?
|
blah
all the guy had to do was find my username/pass i used at my registrar. before he stole them he used some sort of site grabber to copy everything on my websites, then he just switched the domains to different registrars on his own account, and upload all those files he copied to his server, update the dns, and thats it. then he was kind enough to change all my affiliate codes on all the pages.
