My back is fucked

Been getting unbearable lower-back pain since the last few days. I think I need to exercise more often.

You guys have any home remedies?

Make sure you have a good work chair.

Back pain sucks. My wife has had to deal with it quite a bit.

I'm usually okay, but once in a while I've had enough pain to feel great empathy for back pain sufferers.

Hey scream...

Ya lots of alcohol!! :D

Aleve and a 30 min walk helps. :)

Scream, I've had low-back pain all but go away with a few simple yoga style exercises. Before I became a pilot I managed a group of 3 chiropractic offices, so I learned alot over the years I was there. Yup, a good couple glasses of vodka and Aleve will usually do the trick, too! However, you typically wind up staying drunk and numb for days on end (like a good vacation!)

Stretch #1: Cobra
Lie stomach down legs behind and arms out front. Stretch and hold for 10 sec's. Bring your hands up toward your shoulders like you're gonna do a push up, but keep your crotch down and stretch your head and shoulders back. Hold for 10 sec's and don't forget to BREATHE. Let yourself down and stretch out for another 10 count.

Stretch #2: The Cat
Get on all fours (heh heh) knees together and hands shoulder width apart. Take a deep breath in and arch your back upwards and hold for a 3 count. Exhale and push your stomach down toward the floor while staying on all fours and hold for a 3 count. Repeat this action 6 times.

Stretch #3: Rotating Pillar
Sit on a chair or couch with your knees bent and feet together. Take a deep breath in and rotate your shoulders 90 degrees to the left. Use your right hand to hold your left knee and your left hand as support behind you. As you exhale, try to stretch a little beyond 90 degrees as you use your hands as leverage to aid the stretch. Return to center and repeat to the right. Repeat this 3 or 4 times, but be mindful of your posture. Chest out and back nice and tall.

That'll be $85. |boobies|

I agree with Yell, lots of alcohol, cut down on the excercise as much as possible, but try not to put on the pounds, if you have to excercise, like if your car breaks down, the extra weight will hurt you. I've had lower back problems for 30 years and that's my regimen. My doctor disagrees, but he's a skinny little runt.

at times I have terrible back pain (I blame Bush) and besides the home remedy mentioned above (A & A) I lay flat on the floor with my legs in the seat of the chair (blah what a visual) and try to flatten my back against the floor. Most of the time it works. Oh and make sure you have a good mattress.

my back hurts in this freakin chair too

Mine has been screwed up since the beginning of Feb, I was hoping staying in bed for two months would fix it.

My suggestions Aleve, Tequila and get the best chair you can find

Hi Scream sorry to hear about your back. Alcohol will do the trick just fine but there are a few side effects ie hangovers. I personally like to go to my local|potleaf|dispensaries and make it happen. I have "legitimate" back pain from sciatica. Sciatica is a pinched nerve in the lower back making the pain go all the way to my little toe. I have gone to Chiros and my HMO Kaiser. They are just temporary also. If you have some cash acupuncture is a good way to go. I had some done before I went to Cabo and had a blast with no major spasms. Of course I was pretty drunk every day too. So I guess that doesn't count but I did notice that I had no pain due to acupuncture. Here is what I do currently since my HMO does not cover chiro or acupuncture. One was taught to me from a 8th degree martial arts instructor. So it's pretty good for me.

1)Lie on my back an bring my knee to my chest both sides
2)Spa 5 days a week
2)Stand with your feet shoulder width apart with your hand to your side.Raise your right arm to shoulder height palm down. Turn palm up leaving your arm extended to your side. Using full range of motion start to bring your arm up 45 degrees slowly very slowly. All the way till you reach your left foot. during your motion you should be reaching for the walls stretching your back. Then reverse the motion bringing your hand back to your side slowly very slowly still reaching for the walls and or ceiling. Repeat both sides.

A good pussy licking session will do the cure ;)

Hey guys thanks for the responses. I appreciate them all. :)

My back is fine now. The cause was not sitting up straight while working. I now do yoga stretches in the gym 4x a week and have started working out again.
