How can I see on what version of Linux my shared server runs?

I'd like to know what version of Linux (pe. Linux- Fedora Core III) my shared server uses (colo68 on colo-cation.com) but I have no idea on how to get that data.

I created a phpinfo(); page and got this as my top line:
System Linux colo68 2.6.23-rc5 #1 SMP Tue Sep 4 21:28:51 EDT 2007 i686

And know the operating system is Linux but can't make up out of that line which version.
Anyone?

SSH into your server and type uname -a

Ok, I know it's Debian now, but still not sure of the version, ah well I'll figure something out :)

Thx Cleo
