five 2257 inspections in Florida with violations

"MIAMI, Fla. — The FBI's 2257 inspection team conducted five inspections of Florida-based producers last week, all of which resulted in violations, XBIZ has learned.
Special Agent Chuck Joyner, the head of the FBI’s inspection team, confirmed to XBIZ via email that the inspection team flew to Miami on Sept. 16, and conducted the inspections over the course of that week.

Joyner told XBIZ that all five inspections resulted in violations, but at this time the FBI has no evidence of any minors being included in the content. Joyner said that one producer admitted that he did not keep any photo identification records prior to 2005, and a second producer failed to produce any photo identification records at the time of his inspection. 2257 seems easy to comply with if you're a content producer. If a content producer doesn't take the time to take a photo of a model holding up her drivers license and another approved I.D. and file it away in a file cabinet, he's a dumbass.

Can they honestly say that they expected to find any?

If the record keeping requirements were that simple, this would be much less of an issue.

But the requirements are so complex that I'm pretty much unable to tell you exactly what they are.

They include things like recording all other possible stage names the models have used, in all other productions, everywhere. The FBI complained specifically about this, and charged violations of it, in earlier inspections.

As I understand it, most of the violations in all these inspections have been for these kinds of obscure recordkeeping requirements, and not for anything substantial like the standard ID photo.

No word yet on inspections of secondary producers, altho there was some gossip that some of these last five might be secondaries.

As Bill mentioned above, I don't think that's the issue...

I thought the content (aka primary) producers also had to keep records of every single 3rd-party URL where the producer's images appear. Virtually impossible if you license your pictures or videos to a large sponsor, who then makes the content available to dozens of affiliate webmasters, and so on....
