Need help Lost about information +what to actually do??

Does anyone know what this person is talking about ,is it true if i had a chamelion submitter and free jmb software would they load up +change galleries?Your page will be rebuilt every 5 minutes using 12 Thumbs per hour, Using 288 Thumbs per day.I read this but i have not a clue how 2 do what this person is instructing what 2 do.How 2 begin + complete this task??|headbang|
1st Row: 8 Thumbs(Query Best with No Clicks Option)
(Why the no clicks option? You want your thumbs to rotate and don't want the top thumbsto dominate just because of placing.)
2nd Row: 8 Thumbs(Query Best with No Clicks Option)
3rd Row: 8 Thumbs(Query Best with Clicks Option On)
4th Row: Thumb 1 Query New) Thumbs 2-8 Query Stage 1 (What does this do? It injects a thumb
every time your page is rebuilt. Set your rebuild to 5 minutes ~12 Thumbs perhour)

Now make two or three more tables all using (Query Best).
Remember for each table that you make lower the percentage that go to galleries
upto 50%

1st Table 65%

2nd Table 60%

3rd Table 55%(E. Populating your Page with Content)

Things you should have ready:
- Main Page Design(Filled with Macros)
- Trade Script
- Comus Thumbs
1. Filling it with galleries.
Your page will be rebuilt every 5 minutes using 12 Thumbs per hour, Using 288
Thumbs per day.
You're going to need a bunch of sponsors with alot of galleries to fill this
quota:
JMB software following.
AutoGalleryAutoGallery will allow you to accept gallery submissions from webmasters. The software can check to make sure the gallery URL is working, and it will then add the gallery to a queue. As the administrator you will be able to examine all of the galleries in the queue, and approve or reject each one individually. You can then build TGP pages based on the gallery information stored in your database. The HTML generated by AutoGallery is all controlled through templates. This allows you to easily match your existing site design, and all changes can be made through your web browser. Any heads up about this information.Thank you eidoos77.|huh|waves||huh

It's a little unclear what you are asking about.

Sounds like you are talking about setting up a Thumbnal Gallery Post site, using Auto Gallery Pro or some equivalent.

What that would have to do with chameleon submitter is a mystery to me.

Most of what you have posted there sounds like instructions for building a TGP.

So, explain what you want to do, maybe somebody can help.

In the documentation for the JMB software there is a section on setting up a cron job to automate the building of the pages. You can do it as often as you want. You have to have access to set up cron jobs on your server though. Some virtual accounts won't let you do that.

First thing's first, Chameleon Submitter has nothing to do with building a TGP and updating it.

Like Spacemanspiff mentioned. You can ask your host to set up a cron job that calls the page http://www.yourdomain?com/cgi-bin/tgp/cron.cgi once a day.

That cron job should look like this probably:

Code:

0 0 * * * /full/directory/path/to/cron.cgi --all
That would refresh your pages every day at midnight.

Why don't you ask zzgundamnzz (who created the thread at GFY back in June '04 where you got that tutorial from)? Just try and ignore the fact that his TGP is long dead.
