Man Earns $30,000 A DAY From AdSense!

Who says there is no more money to be made on the Internet? This guy started in 2003 when dating sites were already very established!

"We've written before about PlentyOfFish, a leading online dating site that is run by a single person and is raking in money. Markus Frind is the singular force behind PlentyOfFish. At the time of our last review, June 2006, PlentyOfFish was earning $10,000 per day from Google Adsense (around $3.5 M per annum).

I caught up with Markus today via email and asked how the business is doing now. He didn't want to get specific about earnings, but he said that POF will earn $10 Million + next year (which puts it at around $30k per day). So just in earnings, POF has grown rapidly over the past year or so. As well as Adsense, income now comes from banner ads and affiliate marketing. A May Wall St Journal article has a good general profile of Markus and his company."

The rest of the article is here.

It's fairly simple to be honest, look at the way most people promote dating sites, they send hits to programs like AFF, yeah they make money on the initial and recurring but that's it.
What most people don't realise is they also lose as those programs advertise and make further money on the members that are sent by webmasters.

Thats why i did partner sites, all the members i send are my own so i not only make on sales, i also grow an advertising asset as my members have to log into the front end, and unlike other partner programs, stay on that site rather than be sent to the main site of an affiliate program.

On one site alone i bring in over 1000 members a month which is increasing all the time, so over time, my ad asset will grow.

And I'd never heard of this site before. Pretty impressive business model. My adsense sites make $2/day -- so I only have to increase my traffic by about 15 thousand times. Sounds doable. ;-)

Note that site has aff links on it so it isn't pure adsense income.

It's a very inspiring story really. He started a free dating site and people flocked to it. Now he has so much traffic he sells ad space, makes money on click thrus etc. Ingenious!

Must be because I'm a curmudgeon, but ... I guess I'm the only one that just does not believe it.

Nice tale, but I want to see bank statements and canceled checks that say "Google" on them. :D

The "fly in the ointment" is how much does he spend advertising? I've seen some suggestion that it is about $16,000 a month. If true, then he still nets 14 grand. None-the-less, that volume of traffic does have a significant intrinsic value.

Dravyk 2007-11-05 08:32 PM

hehe Art, you typed in my "part 2".

Yeah, lot of "geniuses" in the world, but who's smarter (and richer) ... the guy who spends $25K a day to make $30K that everyone hears about, or the quiet guy who spends a grand and takes in $15K. |goodidea

The guy is a millionaire so he can't be doing to badly.

Go to one of the PPC brokers like AvnAds, etc. and see what the prices are for some of the high volume sites.

You should believe it Dravyk because it is absolutely the case.

The only question here is whether his site is worth 10s of millions or 100s of millions.
