Invite Only LLs - How?

How do you get an account at these exclusive invite only Link Lists, like Cleo's Links, Javes, Danger Dave etc.? Does someone has to recommend you or is just a matter of pray and wait?

Cleo has a link to register on her submit page. I think Javes is closed for submits. And from what I have heard Mr. Danger will contact you if and when the time comes.
