Link Dropping Muther Fuckers

Link Dropping Muther Fuckers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So today I am checking out a site I've had link trades up for maybe over five years and take a look and see that my link had been dropped without notice, while I had maintained his.

I hit him up about it and he says he emailed me blah, blah, blah...

So I start looking further into it and start seeing that a large percentage of link trades I had with "friends" had all been dropped as well -- maybe almost 50% of them.

Look, if you want to drop a trade, drop a trade...that is fucking fine. Just have the courtesy to tell me about it!

Otherwise you are just leaching MY TRAFFIC / PR and hoping I don't notice?

That is some real scumbaggy shit.

IT IS TOTAL BULLSHIT, DISHONEST, AND IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF!!!

OK that rant is done, I gotta get back to pulling links!

I use a trade script to track "hardlink" trades just for that reason. If I see zero incoming for an extended period I go investigate.

Bill 2007-11-06 07:50 PM

Yeah, it sucks.

Combine that with people selling their domains and going out of business, it's a bit depressing to check one's links these days.

you dropped my link off your main page a while back and never told me, so I contacted you and you said you were going through them...

Sometimes shit happens and wm's make mistakes but I agree it is a preety crummy thing to do jay - it is not like you are uncontactable.

Actually, it was just the opposite. You asked me to pull yours. Then you decided you wanted it back. Then I put it back. Then I found you were linked to a bunch of bad neighborhoods and I told you I had to drop the trade again.

I'll give you credit for at least contacting me.

At least you did have the decency to contact me. I'll re-link you if you want.

Linkster 2007-11-06 11:11 PM

Jay - let me know if any of my sites are missing any links to you - Ive been checking for the exact same reason you are - but a second check is always good |thumb

Ramster 2007-11-07 12:25 AM

I am really starting to hate hard link trades. As it has been said, people sell sites, change the look or theme of the site or whatever. Sometimes they miss links when doing so and sometimes they blatantly drop the links altogether, not cool.

Vivaldi 2007-11-07 05:33 AM

Jay - You did take down my links without notice back in Jun this year but left the text of my link. So I took down Yours and leave it at that.
I wouldn't be so harsh like plateman cause, unfortunately, this has become a common thing ... but I do believe that most just got caught up in too many trades that it got too hard keeping a track of it.

Licker4U 2007-11-07 09:54 AM

I contacted you a while back about a link trade from Girls That Squirt with your female ejaculation page but never heard anything. You can bet your link will stay up on my site...|thumb

LeRoy 2007-11-07 11:37 AM

I never hit you up on a trade Jay. However I do have you linked on one of my sites just because. I'll get around to asking you to do more trades. Well I guess now is the time. Hey Jay you wanna do some trades?

Yep, after my last round of having to pull nearly a quarter of my trades I came to the same conclusion, which is why I decline most trade requests -- it's nothing personal.

I don't think hardlink trades give SE the boost they used to anyways.

If it was on that network of like 200 something sites I bought from Kush, yes there is the chance, but that shit happens when you buy a huge network like that without knowing how the trades were set up originally.

Most people dropped Kush's trades anyways.

If it was off my original network I highly doubt that happened unless I found your site had gone into penelty. In those cases I have to cut those links like a cancer.

Send me the details and I will look at it:

I think it was this that scared me away from it:
http://www.girls-that-squirt.com/link-trades.html

Google doesn't like shit like that if they find it.

We can work out a trade if you want. I think I am going to do all of my trades in www.jaystrades.com from now on. I used to do them by hand or with that. I am thinking just using the script is the best way to handle it.

Can you or anyone explain why Google doesn't like it? It's just letting webmasters know what text I want and the page(s) to link to. I've seen a page like that at a lot of link lists.|huh No wait! I'll start a thread in the Search Engine forum, get the SE guru's out of their cubby holes and maybe get a lively debate going. |catfight|

Oh, your link is up HERE

Jel 2007-11-08 03:05 AM

Pretty much the reason I only trade with about 6 or 7 webmasters these days :(

Senator_x 2007-11-12 11:40 AM

Can I avoid this by using Jay's Trades? If someone removes a link from there site, would it remove it from my site? Or do I have to keep checking my links in the webmaster area?
