Trade Scripts
Hi Im just getting into trading scripts, I've tried out a few.
There seems to be a hell of learning curve with this stuff I couldnt find any tutorials on the subject as a whole, just user guides to using individual scripts. Anyhow I think I am kinda grasping it. Is this correct: If I am running a gallery site and using a trade script am I right in thinking I would only normally link to other sites that also use trade scripts? ..Or I would be a small start up site that would send a Hardlink to a site that runs a script because the trade script site would be better established then me and therfore recieve a lot more traffic than I do. Thanks. What woud be the best trade script to use? My guess is not to use a free one. |
I'm running AT3 on my newest TGP, it's the free version of Arrow Trader eXtreme fro Arrowscripts.
I does have quiet a learning curve but once you get the hang of it it's a pretty neat script. |
There are several options to use also. You can use Clickzs.com or something like Turbo Traffic Trader. I use something called ePower Trader, which was kind of the professional version of Turbo Traffic Trader awhile back. It is now owned by the guy that owns Comus Thumbs. Just remember, that the free scripts will normally skim a percentage of your traffic (as payment), so keep that in mind when choosing.

Hi yeah, thats the reason I didnt want to use a free script because of the skim they take.
Cheers, but do you guys prodominantly trade with other sites that also use a trading script?? |
Yep, with my TGP's I only trade with other trading script powered sites.
Well... I also do hardlink trades but that's another story :) |
Right, so I would 'usually' trade with other script sites...thought so..
I wouldnt mind hearing about those hardlinks too Fonz |waves| |
Well, for example: http://www.trannybumping.com
All the links to the galleries and other sites you see are going through my trade script. Only the few links below the Moviedollars banner at the bottom are going straight to the other sites. That are the so-called hardlinks. They're used for trading mostly PR/Search Engine visibility. Ofcourse some traffic gets traded too that way but not the same way/amount as the script trades. Script trades: you get back what you send more or less Hardlinks: you can send 50 visitors and get whatever traffic back. |
Right I think i get it. You still have a link relationship with hard link trades and script traders alike - Its just a different setup.
Hard link trade partners for the search engines,(& traffic)as long as they recip. I'm thinking that the search engines wouldn't give much weight to those trade script urls, but I guess its possible to gain shed loads of traffic that way.? |
