Mystery of the word 'young'.
 

I've noted that a lot of LL sites include a line about an unallowed word 'young' in their rules. Sometimes it's inapproprite near a "girl" and sometimes it's forbidden even in a single use.
As far as i understand they are aware of search engines that can relate this word with ch*ld pornography on a porn site, with further problems.
Personally, I have never heard about any penalties for using that word on an adult site. On some level that sounds ridiculous. So I include the mystery of the word 'young' to 'google ban paranoia'.
Does anyone have any proves or situations opposite to my opinion?

Actually, the logic and the lore about the word doesn't have anything to do with the search engines.

The idea is to distance legitimate porn from the c*p stuff.

They do want to keep out of the illegal kinds of searches, so to that extent you might say this is a connection to the SEs.

But mostly it's just legal caution.

There didn't use to be such a strong prohibition against it, but what with the media and republican obsessions, it's become almost a standard.

I'm in Canada, but but I don't use it on sites that I submit to the more politically correct LL's. I don't lose any sleep over it on mine. One AVS company has banned it, I don't use them anymore, they sucked anyways.
Somehow sites with names like "Not Old Women Get Naked!" just don't grab the surfer's attention :D

Proadult used to flag certain words that were innocently used.

There's nothing wrong with the word "young" unless you put it right up against the word "teen."

Do you have any proves or examples? Maybe the word pre-teen can cause problems, but the word 'teen' itself is essentialy 'young'.
And if the 'teen' is ok with search engines and community, why the 'young' near it can harm the situation?
A lot of people are trying to say that:
Teen (or girl) is Stripping - legal porn with 18+ models.
Young teen (or girl) is Stripping - CP. Illegal Stuff. Do not enter.

Again: we link list owners rule out the pairing of young with teen due to what it implies, NOT because we think that SEs give a shit. I've never seen anyone hypothesize that SEs care about the words being used together.

Ok. Sorry. I've just had conversations with a couple of adult webmasters that are sure that the word 'young' causes problems with SE. That's why i've started the topic.
But on some level it's funny. At least for me. Porn sites with ethics that host perversed voyeur spy videos, rape and defloration don't allow to use the 'young' due to what it implies =).

By the way, there are Poison Words that SEs recognize. For example, if a non-adult site will use adult-related expressions it will be decreased in rankings.
Try to google 'Poison Words'.

Do you think that everyone who works in the pornography arena should have zero ethics or morals? Is that what you are saying?

I doubt very much that any sick fuck who hosts r*pe sites would take issue with the word young.

Porn webmasters with ethics survive, and I'd guess that if you put 20 of the top people in this biz in some sort of ethical competition with the top 20 morally righteous "Christian businessmen", that the people in this biz would prove to be far more trustworthy and principled.

If I was setting up my link list today I would have used Young Ladies instead of Teen to name my teen category.

When I'm talking about what I do for a living with my friends not in the biz and mention teen porn they often get shocked that I market teen porn and I then have to explain to them that teen is the label for 18 to 21 porn.

It goes against the majority but I prefer the label Young Ladies over the label Teen. Unlike calling 18+ porn Teen I've never had anyone confused referring to it as Young Ladies.

But I can explain in a sentence. Some webmasters that ows LLs with rape and such things have read somewhere that the 'young' worsens the page for SE, that's why they've decided to exclude it. And that's why i've written it.

Useless is right.

Alot of people are sure about alot of things when it comes to SEs (e.g. submitting an XML sitemap causes rankings to tank, PPC spending impacts organic results, etc).

Some logical fallacies to avoid when using your brain (especially when you're thinking about black boxes like Google with 1000 of factors that contributes to any single effect):

1) Cum hoc ergo propter hoc (a before b, so a caused b).

2) Argumentum ad numerum (most people believe X, so it must be true).

3) Argumentum ad verecundiam (DangerDave said X, so it must be true :D).

This is why I called you stupid. How on Earth would that even make sense to ANYONE? If Google decided to suddenly begin penalizing on the grounds of morality, why would they penalize a page with the word young, but NOT A PAGE WITH THE WORD R*PE? Think about it! Who ever told you that is missing a chromosome or two. I'd love to meet the person who thinks that "Young mom being r*ped" is immoral due to the word young.

Who are these people who list r*pe sites?

For the record, I only think the idea of 'young' somehow being worse than 'r*pe' in these mysterious persons' eyes is stupid, not the initial thread topic. Also, I only read PMs whose subject reads "I have money for you." ;)
That's ok with us. :D If they're listing that shit, they deserve to have their reputation destroyed. I have the feeling that they aren't part of this particular community anyway. (I'm always looking for more link list reciprocal links to black list at my sites.)
