Again. Hosting Company Suggestions.

Yesterday, i discovered that my precious hosting company is banned on the most link list. I've seached the forum and stopped my choice on these ones to move to:
http://www.exmasters.com
http://www.atcihosting.com
https://www.webair.com
What can you say? Do you have negative expirience with them? Any problems with adult content? Or LLs? Which one would you recommend?
I need virtual.
It's so diffuclt for me to leave my place for somewhere else and i'll appreciate any help.

Have you looked at http://colo-cation.com/?
I think this board is hosted there, and all my sites are, plus loads of other members here.
The owner is a member of GG&J too.
I've had great support and zero problems for 18 months with them.
:)

Jim 2007-11-14 07:40 AM

Yep, colo-cation is the way to go. We are hosted there and never have any problems.

I second that. colo-cation is the way to go. Almost one year with them and no problems plus great support.|thumb

I'll third that. Colo-cation rocks!

Search the board on those three before you decide to go with them. At least one, exmasters, seem to have been in the headlines here lately, and not in a positive way. You'll be moving from one banned host to another...

I've already cleared that up. Exmasters were banned.
I didn't want to search the forum, because i needed fresh feedbacks.

I've taken your advice and stopped my choice at colo-cation. Funny, but I have never thought of this company due their name. I assumed that they serve only colocations and dedicated servers, not virtual hosting. Thanks guys.

No one is answering me on my request question on colo-cation.
Do they have PHPmyadmin? I haven't met any mentions of it at their site.

Simon 2007-11-14 12:23 PM

Yes, they do have phpmyadmin for virtual accounts.

Bobc01 2007-11-14 12:44 PM

I'm getting crawl errors on webair so i guess it will be Colo-cation for me next.

Jim 2007-11-14 12:48 PM

Truthfully guys...colo-cation is the way to go. We decided about a year or so ago not to allow any host advertising since there was no way we could recommend anyone else.

I followed the advice here and I am reeping the rewards. I was with Go Daddy which is the biggest mistake of my life. I signed up for a good sized dedicated server thinking I was going to burn a bunch of bandwidth. So I called them up. Guess who answers the phone there? The owner does. I thought is was just some guy who worked there named Chris. Until I got the email from him and it had Davies on the end. I was impressed that my account was being handled by a true professional in the adult industry.

Anyway back to my bandwidth burning dream I was having while setting the host up. My bill was coming up and I thought there was no way I was going to burn 3 terrabytes of traffic in the next few weeks. Chris not only changed my plan to smaller one. He prorated my payment till next month. He called it a credit from last month. I call it wonderful service. Thanks Chris.

Try doing that anywhere else?

u-Bob 2007-11-15 10:27 AM

I recommend Atci and phatservers.

JackDaniel's 2007-11-15 10:53 AM

I'm really satisfied with colo-cation |thumb

Colo-cation always comes highly recommended here, and I am sure they are excellent, but I have emailed them twice trying to see if their virtual plans allow the 2gig storage to be increased. I never received an answer. Perhaps someone here knows.

If you're looking for a bargain, it's hard to beat Naked Hosting. I moved from GoDaddy a few months ago, and have been well pleased. Some of the nicest helpful support folks anywhere, and I've installed two scripts without a hitch (don't even think about doing that with GoDaddy).

Sleep[Walker] 2007-11-16 11:20 AM

I've already moved to colo-cation and well... I'm satisfied with it's service. So many webmasters can't be wrong. Quick server, no delays, quite comfortable client panel, browser-based message support...
Only one thing upsets me - the stats of your sites update only one time a day, and as i was told it can't be changed.

LusciousDelight
That's a good question. I bet there will be no problems in increasing the storage. I've sent them a ticket to clear that up and i'll let you know when receive the answer.

Seriously... don't check your traffic stats more than once a day. If someone is wrong, you can pretty much count on the colo-cation folks to catch it before you would anyway. And aside from something going wrong, you'd really be wasting your time looking at traffic stats more than once a day unless you have a huge volume of traffic and make your living from pushing it around.

Same thing for sales stats. Don't waste productive time looking at sponsors stats too often.

.

Sleep[Walker] 2007-11-16 12:10 PM

I received the answer. No problems.
Quote:

thats no problem - 2GB is generally a "soft" limit, meaning you can generally exceed that limit , within reason, before needing to upgrade your package..
Simon
Good point, you know. I've just got used to check my stats 3 times per day, maybe that's why it appeared to me that 1 time a day update is harsh.

Do you get a control panel with colo-cation to administer domains/emails and so on?
