( I am back from the hospital, whatever they found in my esophagus and/or stomach, did not tell me, the biopsy results will be ready in 2 weeks hopefully but we cannot do much at this period of the year even the doc.s are on vacation and will be back in January. )

My ex partner decided to sell his 50% in kinkyhotties after a year so I posted here and there for almost a month before preparing the move. I had tons of offers, all kinds, for the tgp alone, for the blog and tgp together, counting with min $500 income per mo I was to accept a $3000 offer (there were higher ones too since I asked the help of well kown middlemen and offered them 15-20%) and my help with the move so it is going seamlessly and without any traffic loss.

If you want to kill a tgp, just let it not get traffic for a day or two and it is gone. When the buyer still wasn't sure on past Friday, my ex partner zipped the entire site with the databases dumped properly so it was ready to move in time.

Oh I forgot to say that besides very sick last week neither my old computer now my slow connection was not a big help with the move. But so many people offered help so I wasn't too worried.

And I made a mistake: I asked and accepted the help of someone who was very nice and helpful but has no idea about tgps and while I got help with the move, every day of delay lessened my chances to bring the site back. But I still have no access to my site copy online for security reasons (looks like trust works one way only) and all it should be done first was chmodding a file in my trade script then reset the tgp script. $30 by the pros who developed it.

Now I am sitting here and have no idea how I will survive.

Anyway, I would like to say big thanks to my ex partner for the past year, all the help he's given me, my trade partners and skim free blog link exchange partners.

Take it as an announcement please... I cannot comment on more. Just another a sad Christmas to come. I don't think I can start another big project like it was. I hurt and I am allergic to med.s... I have a 5 day old tgp in the works and with limits.

Wish I had my scripts at least, they were alone more than $1 K.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I know shit about TGP's but if there's anything I can do to help let me know. Maybe traffic wise I can do something.

The problem is that the site was hidden and I wasn't able to access it from last Friday on.. a tgp without traffic for a week is pretty much dead :(

Not exactly true luv. I had some troubles with a tgp of mine several years back, and was actually pleasantly surprised once I reestablished it, much of the traffic was still there and it wasn't long until most of it was back.

Took me a good week to contact all my trade/link partners etc, but everything went back to normal quite quickly. I put up a notice on the submission page and the webmasters page and emailed all my submitters about it and that was that.

A week of downtime shouldn't be the end of your site. Pain in the ass, yes... but not the end.

thanks for the kind words and hope... I was so depressed when I made this post that I cannot tell you. Now this weekend some pros will work on it and the blog and the scripts and I do hope it will happen like you are telling me.

Digi, I hope you can get it back and running. It seems that if you are open with the other webmasters and give them a heads-up they understand your situation and will work with you.

Another thing that helps in a situation like this: hard link trades. I know a lot of peeps who run trade scripts don't like them, but having some reall good hard link trades with some solid reliable sites can be a life-saver at times. Times like this for instance, because they don't instantly stop sending you traffic, and once your site is back up that's the first traffic you see coming in. It's the traffic from the scripts you have to work your ass off to regain.

Personally that's almost all I've ever done is hard link trades, on all but a few of my sites.

DF, if you're interested in trading some such links just say the word. ICQ in sig...

digifan, I don't have a lot of sites or a ton of traffic, but if you want I will put some links up on my sites and hope it will help some, just say the word and it is done. You don't have to link back, I just feel that if I can help a bit, why not.:D
