DangerDave - SexKey sites?
 

Hey DD, I dropped by your site today to submit a pic and found your rule about SexKey sites. Just curious as to what's up?
Tried doing a search to see if I had missed some change in SexKey rules and it came up empty.

DangerDave is sleeping right about now over yonder. As far SexKey goes I believe he has never listed it as many do not due to the fact that it is not really a free signup.

SexKey is one AVS I have never listed because of it's "FREE AVS" sales point, when it reality, it is a membership site sale, not an AVS. As a result, not something I would list in AVS sites, because it really isn't an AVS directly.

I believe sexkey send out an email last time that all webmasters using sexkey had to remove the word free and avs...!Correct me if i am wrong please!

AFAIK DD listed SexKey sites until something has upset him a few days ago. I understand his decision, although it's not yet clear whether SexKey was responsible or cheated.

Yeppers he did list them at one point, because the rules say now that he's removing all of the listed SexKey sites and won't list them anymore.

Moral of this thread? Don't Piss Off DangerDave. |lightsabe

And I think all the "Free" Avs sites have had to make changes from promoting it as being free as stuveltje said.

Carrie, It was for the most part personal decision. I did list SK sites, but I do not anymore, after finding multiple sites listed with SK that I found extremly distasteful due to their promotion of the degradation of women, and violence towards women.

As Sebastian said - there are those that believe that SK should not be held responsible, and that these sites got changed after listing etc etc. My own view is the SOMEONE has to be responsible.

Like most people/webmasters I can handle the biz we are in and most of the distatseful stuff that is around... but IMO these sites crossed the line.

The decision to remove and ban these sites(SK) is not a decision made or taken lightly by me. In my mind SK already had a few strikes against it. This was but the final straw.

While the lists that I control/run/partner with, remain under under my control, I will make what ever decisions I feel are neccessary.

Other programs, sites and AVS's are also banned from my sites for similar and different reasons, but I will not go into details here.

DD posted a thread in another forum regarding his decision to ban Sexkey from being listed on his link sites. DD never took the time to contact me before posting the thread. I did not even know waht site he was talking about until a moderator from another board sent me the links. The site in question is not active. DD knows how to get in touch with me but chose to post it to a public forum instead of contacting me directly to get the facts. It is pretty obvious that DD has a dislike for SexKey since this was the last "straw" and that we had a few strikes to start with. It is DD's site and he can choose to so wahtever he wants with it. But I just wish you would contact me first next time, because alot of this could have been avoided.
