Fuel prices.

How much is the fuel per litre in other countries?

I filled my car up last night, fucking £1.10.9 per litre here in the UK.
Normal unleaded being £1.03.

I have to use the high octane rating of 99 because my car is a jap import but ffs, the last time i filled it up it was £1.06.

Surely we aren't the only ones getting fucked on fuel?

stuveltje 2008-01-25 05:02 PM

oke but how much is a gallion in liters? and 2.87 is already less then i pay, but i am sure a gallion is much more then a liter

Bobc01 2008-01-25 05:13 PM

I think the US gallon is less than the european as here it's about 5 litres.

Edit: 2.52 euro is £1.80, that's seriously high per litre.

wel alot of people think that holland is cheap, but hell holland isnt cheap and some webmasters from usa or other countries who moved to here found that out in real life and move again to an other country:D

stuveltje 2008-01-25 05:23 PM

well maybe soon i have to move, i readed a news message about the fbi and some other countries warned holland and the european countries about the anti m*slim movie some dutch goverment guy is making , they expect when the movie will come out, hell will break loose, even Iran warned the dutch goverment to not show the movie, but we have freedom of speech......bad things are comming here, you can see it on the news and all the people who are reacting and telling what they think, most places here in holland are prepared , extra police forse and all

stuveltje 2008-01-25 05:31 PM

well for this year holland got 20 kinds of new taxes...the stranges tax i have ever heard, but it will cost us, but they are already making an new tax, firework tax will also get in this year, they want 10% fireworktax, well that was the deal but since no tax here in holland is under the 20 % the firework tax will be 20% instead of 10%

98.6 a litre over here in Orillia Canada

1 liters = 0.264172051 US gallons

1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litres

so that means we are paying $3.73 a gallon (If I did the math correct)
seems expensive when I do the conversion :(

emerald hell you pay much less too then me, i dont understand why the hell we pay so much for gasoline

stuveltje 2008-01-25 06:57 PM

a lot of dutchies living by the border get their gas at germany or belgium, just because they have to pay less there, for me its to far to drive to the border

Bobc01 2008-01-25 07:08 PM

I think it depends on the octane rating, i got told the US fuel is fairly low grade but i'm not sure how it compares.

ArtWilliams 2008-01-25 07:45 PM

A C$1.00 / litre in Toronto. That's .5 GBP or .68 Euro.

Mr Exotic 2008-01-25 08:39 PM

Cheap gas is 87 octane here which is anywhere from 2.87 to 3.18, its jumps around in that range day to day. mid grade is 89 or 90 and its 10 cents more than 87, then the premium is 92 or 93 octane and is usually 10 cents more than the mid grade.

matyko 2008-01-26 02:39 AM

Common quality gas is $1.64 here in Hungary / liter. Thats ~$6.2 / gallon.
I wish it would be more here: less cars/smog and more cyclers would be in the city.

32k cyclers demonstrate for more bike roads and less smog in Budapest 22th Sept 2007

Very nice panorama pic

I pay here in Slovakia around 2$+ for a liter and it's still going up

SuzzyQ 2008-01-26 05:08 PM

I just paid $3.35 a gallon here in Connecticut.

Bobc01 2008-01-26 06:28 PM

I think we should invade a few more oil rich countries so we pay less.

ArtWilliams 2008-01-26 10:39 PM

"Canada's proven oil reserves were estimated at 179.2 billion barrels as of 2007, placing it second only to Saudi Arabia." --- from Wiki

Why not invade Canada?

I paid $3.67 gallon for diesel the last time I filled up. Gas was about 50 cents cheaper. I have no problem paying more for fuel since the US obviously pays was too little. But, I will never understand why diesel is more expensive than gas. It requires less refining and should be cheaper. Much like back when there was leaded and unleaded gas. The lead had to be added to be leaded. And yet, unleaded was more expensive.
