We went to a birthday party last night & then came home & watched tonight's episode of The Wire & I think that tonight we can watch next Sunday's episode - gotta love On Demand!

I might make some candles today seeing as my step-daughter got me a kit for my birthday. I've been collecting the leftover wax from old candles & melting them down on my own for the last few months, but now I have a kit, so I can make fancy candles out of my scraps :D

And then there's the NHL All Star Game on Versus tonight |thumb

Did a couple of parades yesterday thenwent to the Hard Rock to see Rochelle Harper last night and got in far later than expected. I think I'm gonna whip up a batch of French toast and some eggs, sausage and grits to go with my coffee and then hit the shower and get ready for the 2 parades we are going to today.

Have a "Throw me sumthin Mister" kinda day!

Finally got through helping my brother and his wife get their house fixed up. Last trip to Montgomery we hung the kitchen cabinets and I installed 7 new light fixtures and finished the painting. It snowed last Sat. the 19th and I'll put up a video of me in the snow when my brother sends it. Central Alabama and snow....WTF|huh?? They predicted 3-4 inches but we only got about 1 inch. I was able to scoop up enough snow to make snowman balls but not enough to make the rest of him....|jester|

Contacted an old friend yesterday and got invited to ride in the Joe Cain Mardi Gras parade next Sunday. Joe Cain is credited with starting Mardi Gras just after the Civil War. Mardi Gras in New Orleans may be bigger but it started here. The old Joe Cain house is 5 houses down the street from my brother's house where I'm staying now. What a blast that was when I rode in the parade several years ago. You know the drill, "Show me your tits and I'll give you some beads!" or to shorten it up, "Beads for boobs!" "Laissez Le Bon Temps Roulet"

Weather won't decide if it's going to be a beautiful day or a beautiful rainy day. Clouds move in. Clouds move out. Dark and light all morning. An outdoor day was planned for later so I'm hoping for more sun soon but radar shows something headed for us.

Some work to finish up but mostly it's about relaxing and recharging today. Hope you have the day you want too.

Wife and I finally watched Sicko last night. Even though I know Moore would dramatize all our bad and everyone's good it was still eye opening. Best line was from a British gent stating that if a country can find money for war it should be able to find it to help their own people. Not a direct quote but you get the idea.

Anyhoo, supercross is on TV, have work to do, and picking up some things for our trip to Canada later.

Hey all, good Sunday "Noontime". Went to a get-together last night as my "brothers" son was up from South Carolina...havent seen him since last summer so we got in late...getting moving a bit late today but Ill burn the midnite oil and get things done.


No football today but I have "planning" to d for next weeks game.

I've just dropped my brother at the train station and am hung over now getting ready to go to a bar before this girls bday party. Nothing like some hair of the dog. However, the bar has the best burgers so that will do me good. Then it's off to see some comedy show. At least I think it's a comedy show... (i hope.)

I feel the withdraw this week from football too.
