Which Categories for Link Lists?

Doing free sites, I'm often unclear about which category to submit a site to. I have just finished one site and want to download the links now, and am about to build another.

The first is an ordinary looking couple, probably late twenties or early thirties, on a bed indoors, and he's working on her while undressing her, i.e. heavy foreplay stuff including cunnilingus and dildo. Does that go down as Amateur?

The other is a partially clothed then totally nude blonde with quite a body, indoors, doing handstands, posing, that kind of thing, probably early twenties, could possibly be late teens. Blonde? Amateur? Amateur Teen?

Does anyone know of a written authority on this sort of stuff, like an online tutorial of some kind? I'll go blind if I keep browsing to find it all out! |loony|

In both cases, what is the niche of the sponsor that you're advertising?

If your site fits into that niche, then that's where you should submit it.

lol. OK for the girl - it's a babe style sponsor.

Not for the couple, though, 'cos it's a women's site sponsor, so not really any category. From what I can gather, women's categories are as broad as men's, perhaps with slightly different emphases.

1 - babes

2 - for women

Turns out about a third of the lists I'm submitting to don't have a category for women's porn. As only about a third of the porn buyers on the web are women, I can understand that. |huh

So I've put theirs under amateur. Any list owners reading this, feel free to adjust as you feel appropriate.

33% is HUGE and thats exactly why more link lists should have a 'for women' category.

Like, erm, I didn't just say that? |crazy|

lol. Exactly the point I was making, RC-Ben.

Bu the real point of starting the thread, which you've captured exactly, is to talk about cats in general and help peeps like me work out what should go where. Every time I read Greenguy's refused thread I see someone else has done the same thing. |pokefun|

Yeah, I have trouble with categories sometimes. A midget site, for example. Less than half the list have a midget category, so I am left wondering which category to use. I use fetish, or hardcore, but sometimes it's not clear.

Also, sponsors come out with new and different niches all the time. This is a good thing, I think, but I'm sometimes it's not clear where to submit.

I can only speak for my LL but in general, look at both the content of your FS and the titles and descriptions you use.

Title: For example, If you have a site with a brunette teen with perky tits, you could submit in either 'brunettes', 'teen' or 'perky tits' - of course, I like to see a description that fits the content and the cat.

Same content - different cats.

Cat: Perky Tits
Title: Perky Little Tits
Description: Skinny girl with perky little tits massages her hard nipples.

Cat: Brunettes
Title: Cute Brunette Model
Description: Sexy brunette model plays with her hard nipples for the camera.

Cat: Teen
Title: Firm Teen Body
Description: Hot teen model massages her firm tits and hard nipples.

Remember that as an LL owner, I'm looking for words that not only accurately describe the content, but also words, properly used, that help each cat in SEO.

And do a check on search engines on how often terms are searched on. According to http://www.submitexpress.com/keytracker.php "alluring teen" gets searched on a whopping 0 times - but I see it on titles on FS's and galleries all the time. Whereas, "sexy teen" gets around 2,500 daily searches per tracked service. Would you search for alluring teens?

I'll often put a site in the cat the not only fits best for the content, but one where the description is accurate for the cat. If you're lucky, I'll put it in all the cats that fit.
