Not just for blogs

Gotta make my 2000th some what interesting...:)

Wonder how many people are seeing that blogs are not just blogs these days.

I added a blog to one of my LL's recently. Since I suck at CSS layout, never can get everything to flow just right, I was having a hard time trying to match the rest of the site to the look of the blog, blog looked much better than my site. So I thought why not use the blog again for the LL.

I sticky-ed three posts for all the links, just pasted the link tables into the posts. I even used magpie to pull recent blog posts into another post on the index page with my new layout. I also get to use those cool widgets to build/change the site content. Took a little hacking to make it look like a site and not a blog, but I think it turned out pretty good.

This might be over kill, but if you want a cheap easy nice site design, it's an option. Sure I am not the first to do it, but thought I'd pass it on. I know I wasn't happy the way my site looked, so it's a great change.

One thing I can't get working is running php on pages. I have the plug-in for running php in posts, but not on wordpress made pages.
