Off to the Pass Chrstian parade shortly, which means zero work again today. We have to go early, as the crowd is expected to reach nearly a quarter million along the shortened post-Katrina route, and I'm pretty sure we'll be parking about 3 miles from the parade and heading into the madness on foot.

The drunks will be out in force, 5 kegs on the site we are supposed to meet friends at. I have 13 joints rolled for my enjoyment and I picked up 15 pounds of country style ribs and 10 pounds of ground chuck to take. Weather will be sunny with temps in the mid to upper 60s. It's a great day for a parade.

It's a sunny and warm one this morning.

No real plans for the day other then to get some work done and probably having a few friends over.

Just more work today then I'm going to a party at the Palms. I wasn't going to go but the lure of free food and drink and seeing men in tight spandex on a 70+ foot screen is enough reason. Plus it actually is a theme party combining Mardi Gras with the Super Bowl. Bet no one else thought of that.. |loony| *there is no sarcastic smilie??*

BTW ..i meant to ask if anyone saw Venus and Jupiter in the sky early yesterday morning?? One of the very few things I like about Vegas is that the sky here is extremely high and clear and most winter nights the stars are really glowing. About 5am PST I looked out my window and there they were glowing against the dark purple sky.

Good Morning.

I play basketball at 1:30 then afterwards I'm having a bunch of people over to watch the Super Bowl. Moving the LSD TV to the basement so I'll have 2 rooms with 2 TVs running HD for the game. Should be a fun time.

Docholly, I miss the Palms :( Have fun at the party. :)

Squeezing in work before heading over to a party. Of course it started raining last night and still is, so Superbowl drunks and wet roads should be a nice combo.

We all really need to go up and see Ramster. Pot growing basement, LSD TV room, hot tub complete with gay guys, my friends would have one hell of a party.

Our island is a sanctuary for the miniature Key Deer and since I ride part of the way on gravel roads I often see some of these guys. What you can't see in these photos are the three feral cats and the large free range rooster in the clearing behind the deer.

Headed over to Terry Cassidy’s Pickin’ Party in a little while for some pre-game food and music. Big pig roast plus deep-fried turkeys, all kinds of sides and an open cash bar, all to benefit the local Habitat for Humanity.

It's a rainy day here as well, so it's a good day to stay in and enjoy the game. |tddance||cheer|

I discovered that drinking Everclear, butter shots, Coors Light, and then eating chips with french onion dip is a recipe to spend alot of your time the next day on the tiolet.

Other than feeling a bit rough, things are good and I'm looking forward to a night of football. Getting the have to do things done online and then taking the rest of the day off.

That's a wonderful sunny day and place, Simon... nature at her best. I love that cycas palm on the left and have some huge ones in pots inside. They decorate the front garden from spring to late fall. Also, 10+ yr old strelitzia see http://www.dannyburk.com/strelitzia.htm full of flowers and a lot of orchids blossoming. It is the hobby of sis. She always waits when they are sold young and cheap or when they have no flowers and buys them... and the sun and her green thumb makes a little paradise around us inside even at winter.
Our weather is silly.. one day of wind and rain, one day of sunshine.
