What do you consider a blind link?

I am asking because there seems to be some variation in the definition, or at least some variation in what is allowed.

Is a .com address with nio description blind?
example: "www.bestfuckever.com"
Should I add "click here to visit..."?

how about if the .com is not specified.

ex: "click here to see fucking.."

any tips appreciated. This is the number 1 reason I get rejected, and would like a better understanding. Thanks

Don't see why the name of the site without .com could be considered blind. Same with using the name on its own , however you will probably find that the ctr will increase with good text ( not "Click Here" though)

Just my opinion , would be interested to see what other wm have to say

you need to tell the surfer where he's going if he clicks on your link, otherway its a blind link

click here to visit NameOfTheSite (right)
click here to visit NameOfTheSite.com (right)

click here to find the best porn (wrong)

Im not expert but thats what I think a blind link is.

Hey, thanks! I missed that one.

In the broadest terms a blind link is IMO a link that takes me somewhere I didn't expect.

Just don't try to be sneaky and make it reasonably clear to the surfer of average intelligence where the link goes and you'll be fine most of the time.

BTW "click here" won't always do the trick, it can actually get you declined at least one place I know of.

My personal philosophy when I build for submission is to make it painfully clear where the link goes, not only to avoid rejection, but what good is a high CTR if conversions suck?

That was one of the little details I was unclear on. I was not sure if the ".com" was required. Take my site as an example:"click here to visit Luscious Delights" or "click here to visit Luscious Delights.com" ... either one acceptable? I suppoe the name would come into play. If your site was "Bestporn.com" or "big dicks.com" or something that was descriptive and not clear it was a website.

Yeah, but it's those "some of the time" I want to avoid.

I don't usually put the .com on the link in less it's unclear that they are going to a pay site. Like if you said click here to see more big tits then they might think their just going to another gallery page full of big tit pictures. Sometimes I will but mostly I'll just say something like click here to vist _________ (insert whatever site that I'm promoting).
Just make it obvious where the suffer is going to end up when they click the link and then its not blind to anyone.

The problem is that what I think is clear and what those doing the reviewing think is clear are two different things.

if you use "at ThePaysite.com" or "at The Paysite Name" somewhere in the link text you will be fine
