Naked Hosting has worked well for me, and one of the better bargains I think.

what do you consider reliable and cheap? Colo-cation is what I use and it's pretty damn reasonable...I've been with hostgator and hostnine and they're oversold and have poor performance...i recommend colo-cation....if you aim low with some "cheap" hosting...you're going to get what you pay for and it's going to create more problems when you come to your senses and have to transfer all your sites and mysql databases to a new server...if you're serious...co with colocation don't waste your time with the other bullshit

Are these managed/hardened/monitored?

1. Managed: I would consider them to be semi-managed. If you want us to perform something for you, just submit a ticket and we will be glad to get it done for you.

Thanks for all the info. I think colocation would be the choice down the road, if the site starts to generate more revenue.

That's a good plan...colo-cation will help you transfer ALL your sites and make sure they're working prior to changing all the name servers and
deleting all your other sites from your old service...I can't say enough positive things about them... =)
