A full day of work planned for today, but with the nice weather it might be hard to stay indoors.

I am also thinking to quit smoking soon, last time I lasted 6 months, hope to do better this time, but I have not set a date yet.

Goodmorning all:) its 1:25 midday here.
We have a huge storm going on this moment, ofcourse our dutch storms are not to compair with the Usa storms, we dont have those huge USA storms, but for the dutch its a pretty big storm.
I have one kid at home with his friend and my daughther is still at school, i have to pick her up in about 2 hours or so and then i wont go outside anymore, its always funny when the weatherforcast gives out an storm alarm and advice people to stay inside, but the kids have to go to the damn schools, no exeption even not with an storm alarm.
I will be working today (i already do since 5:30 this morning) and then a nice eve to watch movies.

We watched No Country For Old Men last night - The Bitch was bored once Brolin got his come-uppins, but I enjoyed it. I think I'll have to watch it again to truly appreciate it (like every other Coen bros. movie I've ever seen)

I did manage to not nap yesterday, but I am realizing that if I eat when I get tired, I stay awake (which explains the 20+ lbs I've added in the last year)

Cooked a monster pot of red beans and rice last night with a pan of cornbread and big salad and the beans have me paying dearly today. I dunno if it was the tabasco or the chow chow that tore me up but my gut is on fire. And Jesus, what gas. The goddamn cat jumped in my lap and tried to cover me up, but her eyes started watering and she gave up.

I guess I'll just sit here and take the paint off the walls while working today. Breakfast is easy.. pop tart and coffee.

I hear ya T Pat about being burned out. Take a complete day or three off. Absolutely no emails, board or anything else. Seriously, this part is hard, do not turn on a computer and go do something. Paint the house, fishing, visit family or whatever comes to mind. This has helped me from time to time. Remember, it will all be there when ya come back ;)

Morning.. |yawn| getting ready to hit the road -- not pounding with my fist but a well worn set of Michelines. Spring break starts next week and I'm trying to decide whether to rent a car and just drive and stop or sit my arse at home for the week.

Stayed up to see the new "Family Jewels" .. Gawd help me but I think Nick is HOT. and really I have great giggles at the expense of Gene Simmons especially spending all that money to track down his dog.

Schedule yourself just like a regular job. 8 hours per day. take coffee and lunch breaks. It really helps to get back and focused. Then pick a day or 2 and take "off" .. I used to work from 4am till 8 or 9pm every day. and just couldn't do it anymore. Now i find I'm much more productive when i actually make the commitment to 'get outside myself' and actually do something even if it is taking off 3 hours for a movie break.

Morning All.

TPat, you can always drive over and help us finish skinning the greenhouse. We are keeping fingers crossed that today and tomorrow the winds will be dead so we can do it. My plants on my windowsill I started are begging for replanting.

I hear you on burnout. I went to visit a non-adult client yesterday, and he said he couldn't understand work a holics. That he had talked to someone who hadn't taken a vacation in 7 years. I told him, other than one or 2 days, we haven't...we just can't take a week off being self employed. I do miss that about a regular job.

But I don't miss getting dressed, commuting to work, then working with assholes all day, high stress, and being sick from stress.

DocHolly and the rest are right, sometimes you have to take a full day off. We do that maybe once every 6 weeks or so....it does help recharge the batteries.

And when you can't do that, take a few hours off. We go in the afternoon and pick weeds for an hour. Gets us moving, makes our front yard look better, and makes me appreciate getting back inside and working on porn, lol.

OMG I want your back yard! I love living in the desert, but hate the fact my backyard is all rocks and weeds right now except for the greenhouse. I miss grass and trees....|cry|

The yard is tiny but it's nice. Laid every stone and planted every blade of grass myself.

My summer mornings typically start about 6:30 in the yard - then I either go to work or to bed (depending on my messed up schedule of the week) around 9:00. I keep saying I'll move my office to the back beadroom so I can look out at the garden instead of the tires on my dualie.

Weather is awesome here today - going to get to the high 60's - already turned the water on the front yard and have all the windows and doors WIDE open.

BTW - Colorado Springs only gets about 15" of annul perciptation and an average afternoon humidity here is at 40% - PERFECT!

Morning all.

Watched American Idol last night and then got caught in a Law n Order trap. The way they start the next one as the other one is ending. It hooks me every time. Now I'm sleepy. I'm pounding coffee trying to get going.

It's raining and my roof has been damaged last week together with a lot of people so I have to wait to get it fixed. I am fed up with the guys' promises. Other than that, I got nothing.

Looks like sis will get a 3 month long restorer job. And she tries everything.. damn, she has been working in a supermarket, 8 hr in the freezer, -21 C and was filling up the frozen food gondolas, she woke up at 03:30 am every night/dawn or whatever your preference is but her arms have hurt so much that she couldn't sleep from the pain. And she is a restorer, if she won't stop, she won't be able fine-tune her restoring work.
