Unified Stats acting weird

I'm seeing a bunch of $1 sales from Flashcash for the last 3 days now. Never had them before and they don't show up in my flashcash stats. Anyone else?

I forgot to mention.

No need to glorify Nifty Stats in this thread I'm keeping US

Seeing the exact same thing with flashcash in my Unified Stats... I removed them for now.. no need to get my hopes up with sales that aren't real |cry|

I heard something that this is happening with other programs too, Something about raw hits getting tracked as sales. Don't know if this is the case or not.

I can't imagine why you don't like Nifty Stats :).

I was using US before, but then I've discoverd that Nifty Stats checks my stats twice faster than US :)

yes I noticed and reported that to support. There are "qualified hits" from flash cash counted as 1$ sales

Last week Unified Stats showed 2 sales from Nasty dollars, when I checked the sponsor I couldn't find them. After a couple of hours the 2 sales were gone from Unified stats |huh

Gee..that must have been disappointing :D

we've pushed out an update for flashcash...unified will pick up the update automatically after a few more scans

regarding nd, it's been noted in the past (by other webasters on diff boards) that when their stats jobs are running at night, they can see a few diff numbers for a few minutes (and they reported the site showed the same data in question).

in my experience, i've seen this before for other programs...so i'm not sure it's too uncommon.

regarding the speed...it's hard for me to imagine one application is faster than the other in regards to downloading stats...i believe they are all multithreaded (as is unified) and unified uses low level http calls to access the data (ie, doesn't piggyback on a browser or what not)...the vast majority of a wait would come from the server being scanned.

Hi Jo, thanx for stopping by and giving us the update ;)

Ok ... maybe I'm doing something wrong :)

I did run a quick test and it looks like I was right about the speed.

I've scanned the stats for Niche Pay since January 2007 with both Unified Stats and Nifty Stats.

Unified Stats scan time : 20 minutes and 50 seconds

Nifty Stats scan time : 50 seconds

Fonz, thx for the support!

JD, thx for the feedback, I am def interested in hearing feedback from users and trying to follow it up with helpful improvements...

You peaked my interested, and I decided to test/time it on my end....

Using a 500$ laptop (tho, hardware differences really shouldn't make a difference with this test, but just to rule it out)...I scanned a nichepay program in 4 min and 5 sec, going back to jan 01...

One thing that does come to mind though, if you added each of the individual nichepay programs separately, it's going to be scanning each one separately...

By design, unified will only scan a single program, one date at a time...in other words, even though it's multithreaded..(does multiple things at once)...we try not to overwhelm a program with multiple requests at once...ie, it will scan 3/20, then 3/19, 3/18 ect...not all 3 (or more) at once.

When it's scanning multpiple programs though...it will do these concurrently...ie, it will scan multiple programs at once, same dates, ect...

The other thing is, I noticed we don't have an All Programs option under nichepay, in which case it would gather all of the stats at once for them (ie, you don't have to enter sep programs in unified if you don't want to), we'll have this updated in the next update.

While doing the dates one at a time for a program is a designed feature in unified, it's really a moot point outside of the initial/historic scan since you are basically then working more with multiple programs, not as much multiple dates, going forward.

Thanks again...we'll get the all programs added to nichepay very soon...
