Recip Tables - SSI?

How do you organize and insert your recip tables? Do you use SSI?
I started to wonder since the Foxxxies Porn? thread; I have a bunch of free sites that I submitted to Foxxxies, and I have to go to each one and remove the recip. Is there an easier way of doing this? |huh

If using SSI; every time you drop a LL and add a new one, do you create a new table? (If the one you dropped is still active, and you got listed, but for some reason you don't want to submit to any more.)

Do yourself a favour and leave them alone. FS are basically build and forget sites. Apart from the time invested to make the changes, a few LL have bots that know when you make a change and that could get your site deleted or you banned. Normally i would say revisiting a FS is a waste of time, which you could use to build a new one.

What bluebrit said. Just leave the recips up and move on. I simply remove link lists that I don't want to submit to anymore from my submit list. I never go back and remove recips from sites.

Thanks, that is what I was doing so far, but then I started thinking that I am sending surfers to a 404 page when a LL vanishes into thin air. Maybe I should stop thinking. |banghead|

If from 20 LL on the FS for example 18 listed it, and two rejected, I will delete their recips. I think that it will be honest to LL owners, who think that my site is rather good to be listed, to separate them from some mothefuckers who fucks up 18 LLs opinions. Such "smarty-pants" will never get my traffic and SE "vote".

I make my recips and never look back...that's why I've tried to consolidate the good/active linklists at quickrecip.com I really hate when I make the recip tables and then there's a database problem at bluewave or hqseek because I don't go back and edit the tables to kick those guys out. I think in the time I tuned up all my tables on one free site and the mirrors, I'd be able to build another freesite so I march on and don't look back. I hate giving the sites that have given up a free recip, but oh well, I'm going my best interest which is using time to make more freesites...

I used to use includes for the recip tables and would rebuild every once in a while.

I haven't submitted anything in a while, so I took a long hard look at where I got listed and who was sending good amounts of traffic.

I have ditched 80% of the sites I used to submit to and will make a master list of sites that simply get copied into my templates.

No more going back and removing sites either, as it is a waste of time.

I use SSI for my tables and if I need to drop a recip due to not getting listed, link list went belly up or whatever, I can remove that one link from the table and make a new table with a replacement put in. This will remove the offending recip from all sites that have the recip. I name my tables something like anal01-1.txt. so a revised table would be anal01-2.txt and so on.
