Poll: paysite sales

To paysites owners: With all these new tube sites, I was wondering if you guys have noticed a slowdown in sales or not? (say Q1 2008 Vs Q1 2007)

I personnaly can't tell, my site is too recent (Oct 07)

I see a slight decline in over all sales to our sites, and to all programs I promote as well... so I have stepped up promotion and more work has turned into more sales so far.

Yes, I have noticed a bit of a slowdown, overall.

I think the key is to appeal to a tight niche in order to reduce competition.

I think at the moment people in general are tightening up on their money and reeling in some of the extra spending.

I voted yes only because for me on my paysites sales are a bit lower. But I don't think that has anything to do with tube sites. I look at traffic and traffic is down a bit too so of course sales will be. So I blame lower sales to more competition. As an example when I opened my big tit site in late 2004 there was no jugg cash and no other big tit sites in our program, now there is both. More competition, less traffic and less sales!

I didn't vote because we were a brand new program in early 2007 - sales are up but they pretty much have to be or I would starve.... 0+1 is still an increase.....

2008 better than 2007 for me

RedCherry 2008-05-06 10:14 AM

I voted no because my first quarter sales are more than double from my first quarter last year. :D But that is mostly due to selling my AVS sites, vs other sponsors. I have also really concentrated on driving traffic, so that is helping. |thumb

I'm seeing a slowdown. Not necessarily in traffic, or quality of it, just sales in general. I have been blaming the recession or pre-recession and rising oil prices...Maybe everyone is buying up duct tape and rice...I don't know.

I considered trying to target French traffic (If I have to target a market in another language it should be my country's other official language), although my French is next to nil. I'd have to learn it. But even then I'd just be pissing off the French traffic with horribly worded French SE text.

Just add "le" in front of everything: le porn, le sex, le blowjob - simple, eh?

Hmm, we don't see slowdown in sales |bananna|

Then maybe I should consider targeting the french traffic? French is my mother language!

I can hear Greenie giggling |pokefun|: "well, that explains a lot!"

My paysite got 4 charge backs last week, compared to 4 charge backs for all of last year.
Fucking Republicans|banghead|

I started submiting this year, so I can't judge, but it is obvious that ratio is getting worse...

DonX 2008-06-05 05:25 PM

Not seeing a slow down at all |headbang|

Throw in a few good "tabernacs" and "Osti"s to grab the New Brunswickers;-)

I saw a bit of a slowdown around the first of the year, but things seem to be picking up again. Not sure if it's due to tube sites though or just a downswing in traffic/more competition in general. Just speaking for myself, I think I still need to break some old-school traffic generation habits.
