Read this sad story
A once good friend of mine that I have knows since birth moved to texas 20 years ago. I knew he needed money and I was running ultracash so I built him a few websites and he made pretty decent money. He even won the $5000 weekly giveaway we had.
So, his sister was in town this week and ran into one of my other friends. She told him that she better not run into me. My friend asked why... He was told that this girls brother was on probation for cp because he "filtered" my email. Number One... My son and some may remember Suzy were the only people that ever filted my email. Number Two... If it were truly my email, wouldn't I have at least have been questioned? Number Three... When I get cp in my email I forward it to the proper authorities...why wouldn't he? I know he told this story to his Texas friends and family trying to save face. But WTF...We knew eachother since we were born. Why the fuck would a friend like that say such a horible thing about me? Now, I have to take time that I do not have to stop this rumor around our small town. WTF? |
Sounds like their only other option would be to take personal responsibility. But cowards rarely do that and when push came to shove your “friend” chose to be a coward at your expense.

I don't understand what that means.. "he filtered your email"???
and you can bet if the Feds/state/local cops (tho isn't CP fed?) would be after you as the source if he was so innocent. I think I'd find the sister and set the story straight..the blame game is easy when no one calls you on it. Pre-emptive damage control tho obviously if someone told you she's running her mouth to more than just family. |angry| |
I'm not that nice - payback can really be sweet - is his sister cute? And at least 18?
|
Only a true coward would spread a bullshit rumour like that.
|
That is a sad story.
I kind of agee with Doc. |
now you know that he's not a friend. A true friend won't spread a rumor that aint true.
|
fucked up as that is... it's one of the things we have to deal with in this life...
|
Do like I did when an ex-model's new husband started the same rumor - serve him with papers suing him for slander and defamation of character.
Because of the damage it could cause my business, I was able to demonstrate considerable potential loss - that he'd have to pay... Poor bastard had apology letters out two days later. The boy should have been a politician the way her was back-peddling..... Just about as refined as Obama leaving his church last weekend...... |
Jim, it's probably the last thing you need to deal with these days. Sorry to hear someone who was supposed to be your friend is giving you extra grief. I have to agree with papa though, if he is spreading such a rumor, it might he worth the time to at least threaten him with a lawsuit.
|
I don't really know you that well Jim but I think your reputation precedes you as an above board guy that wouldn't partake in CP...someone like me would consider the source and think the dude was an asshole for just saying something like that...that's my take on it...I'm not just saying that as a board member, I'd think the same if one of my coworkers told me that about another coworker if theres never been a reason to question the integrity of the coworker being talked about...
|
Sad indeed. May I dare ask what you did and how things are turning?
|
Gad, another story of betrayal and hearsay. Jim, it sounds like you got bit because you're successful. It's sad to see another person in this biz get a black eye because of others who can't take responsibility for their actions or others who take kindness for weakness. Batten down your hatches and sail through this foul weather.
