Windows Patch
If you are running Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows NT Server, Server 2000 or Server 2003, and you are not running Automatic Updates... now is a good time to download the latest patch.
More info here. |
I run with automatic updates. This last one I keep hitting remind in 3 days. I've been doing that for a bout 3 months...lol The last update screwed up my browser. |sad|
|
yeah, it screwed up mine too, it got rid of all my stored passwords....oh well, better than someone thieving them!
cheers, Luke |
The most aggravating effect is that I use to be able to click on the scroll bar on the right and it would move up or down one exact page. That was great for reading anything. Now it jumps more than a page and I have to use the up and down button to read stats and all the rest. No I don't use mice with scroll wheels.

Surfn - I has the same problem with the scroll bar but the last update fixed it :)
Of course, as I type this, it's doing another update & who knows if that'll unfix the problem - LOL |
GG
I noticed yesterday there was another update. For the OS. I clicked remind me in 3 days for both. I think I'm going to wait both of these out. I can remember recently about updates that were flawed. My thinking is if I wait long enough and listen to others I'll have some sense of whether it's worth it. I have Norton to keep puter somewhat secure. My thinking on all this is old school: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" :D |
Surfn - after I posted that last one, I dd remember that I went & did some of the non-critical updates the other day as well, so one of thos emight have fixed the scroll problem.

Thanks GG, I'll check those out this afternoon :)
