Cmd32.exe

What the hell is this thing? I've read different opinions on it. That it is part of my system but a virus can attach to it.

ZoneAlarm keeps asking if I should let it access the internet. Anyone???

I haven't heard of that one yet, but I (liek everyone) am getting plastered with email virus's - Norton is acting up on me as well :(

I'm getting thousands of messages with the worm a day. |raygun|

Many look like they are coming from people that I know, but many are coming from places that I know are impossible since there are no Windows machines at these locations.

It looks like it goes through the address book of the infected computer and not only mails itself to all the addresses in the user's address book, but also spoofs the sender address with addresses from the user's address book.

Some info on the latest worms.

Actually it looks like it is going to get much worse.

I'm glad I'm not a newbie with all the postmasters returning emails from my domains. Fake shit that the worm gets in other peoples address books. Otherwise I would be scared that my provider was going to cancel me.

The funniest stuff is when I'm emailed spam from my own domain (which only I use) and that gets filtered as well.

Damned worms |raygun|

I've had this for a couple of weeks. Just never got around to really investigating why this cmd32.exe was trynig to access the internet. I just didn't allow it so I guess it wasn't a real problem for me.

However, it came from Kazaa more than likely according to the removal instructions page I found. It was easy to remove. I ran my virus scan in safemode and it dumped it right out for me.

Other then having a bunch of crap filling up my mailbox it is a non issue if you don't run Windows on your desktop.
