would any link list owners

Would any link list owners have a problem listing a freesite that promotes a fake adult password site?

papagmp 2008-06-14 05:35 AM

Yes - I would have a problem with it and it would not get listed at my LL.

Fonz 2008-06-14 06:53 AM

Same here

ladydesigner 2008-06-14 10:18 AM

That would be a no-no with me too. :(

Cleo 2008-06-14 10:20 AM

There is a special list for that and it starts with the letter B.

hashbury 2008-06-14 10:56 AM

I should have been more specific, what are your reasons for not accecpting it. Is is just because its basically a fake illegal site.
Also the site in question, is just a hub that promotes pay per email programs like cecash and wegcash and nothing else, but it uses words like free xxx passwords.

Think about it. You lure someone to your site with the promise of giving away stolen passwords. Then you fuck them over by not delivering, in essence making you a double cheat. How do you think that reflects on the sites that list you?

good point
looks like it would make the linklist lose some of there visitors.

Ok so what if you have a domain name that has free adult passwords in it or something like that, but you change the site title and text to free passwords when u submit your email or something along those lines. would this be more acceptable or would the domain name make it still seem like a cheat?

Domains are cheap. I'd let that one expire and get something else.

This is what i get for not doing my homework

You could always use that domain for a FAQ page debunking the free password sites and explaining to the surfers why they shouldn't fall for those tricks. Then you can cleverly weave in your message about the things they should check out instead.

Great idea - expose the scam, develop trust, and make the sale!

hashbury 2008-06-15 02:29 AM

I like that idea specialy because i just bought the domain and would hate to let it go to waste. I actually found a tutorial for making a fake site like that on another forum, but i dont want to decieve people. Also do you guys know where i can get any info on debunking password sites.
Thanks Simon
