can't seem to get listed at some link sites like LOR and DD's
 

hi all... I've been building free sites and submitting for a couple weeks... some link lists are listing most of my sites and some are not listing any of them ( got 1 listed on LOR |bananna| ) I was hoping for some input to see if I am making mistakes or something to keep me from getting listed at some sites like LOR and Danger Dave's.... any feedback would be awesome and appreciated.... and thanks to all the places that do list me and to all the helpful people on this board.... |waves|

Some of your recips are hard to read (blue on black) and your big pics are massive (100k+). That wouldnt help your chances.

what is a good standard to keep your pics at? most of the rules I've seen have said under 200k...... and what is the lowest you should go in general when compressing them? THANKS

Do them at medium compression with the long side no more then 700 pixels.

I looked at your site and was wondering why you have text that is not linked underlined? I kept on trying to click on text that isn't linked.

Yes you need to compress the pics, they are too big and will cost you money and frustrate surfers. (Though maybe they'll signup instead. LOL)

I try to get all my pics between 40-50K. That seems perfect keeping them clear and getting listed everywhere. Of course compression look is key that they're not blurry or over pixelized so at times I end up with pics 60K but that is rare.

so there isn't any major violations of most link list rules though? I just posted that site as an example... I try to build all my sites easy to navigate and surfer friendly....

I don't think this is something that would get you rejected but you should drop the webmaster link. You won't get very much webmaster traffic so you'd benefit more putting a link to your hub or sponsor.

Yeah I would kill the webmaster links for sure.

somebody told me that was a good idea to put that there but they don't own a link list so I'll
