Adium users and ICQ connection problems
If you use Adium for chat you may be getting an error message telling you that the client version you are using for ICQ is too old.
Here's a link to the Adium blog where they explain what's going on... Adium blog and thread about icq-client-version-too-old-error/. Hopefully they'll have a fix soon. |
Thanks Simon. I don't know what Adium is but will check it out. For almost 2 weeks I've been unable to use my icq (that's installed on my computer). It just keeps crashing. Soooooo..... I started using meebo.com to login to my icq but now that won't work either. :(

Just downloaded the update (21328k) and it appears to work fine. Any of the programs that rely on libpurple appear to have the problem. Pidgin, Adium and a few others were affected.

Thanks for the update.
I opened the really old version from ICQ while waiting for an update. The Adium forums got overloaded and went down today so I wasn't sure what was up. Just installed the update and all seems to be well again. |
