having hosting issues... what happens when your host is down?
 

I am having hosting issues ( lucky me my host is switching my server ) what happens when your host goes down? I already got a decline from Cleo for it... my sites are back up at the moment but if they go down for awhile will all my sites get booted? and will I end up getting blacklisted by all the link lists?

my domain is xxxpixxx69.com if any of the other link lists that are on the board read this

and Cleo if you happen to see this I just got declined for my server being down... it is back up now... the declined url is

should I re-submit or can you check it out again?

Fuck I did not need to see a pic of a woman drinking piss while I was eating. LOL

You need to resubmit your site seeing as it is not in the admin anymore.

As far as your server going down this is not something that will get you blacklisted but it may get your sites pulled if a bot finds your server unreachable. Most places will let you resubmit everything once you are back online. :)

Well he asked what to do in the case of downtime..

And I'm just saying that one good way to avoid downtime is by finding a host who is more stable. Sometimes this involves paying a little more money, or finding a good solid company.

There are about 10 good hosts out there, and Reality Check Network is one of them, NatNet, ISPrime, FlyingCroc (accretive), and several others are good as well. So I am merely just showing him the creme of the crop, please dont confuse this with a meaningless spam post.

well my host is switching me from a FreeBSD server to a Linux... apparently running cpanel on a FreeBSD is a bad idear... hopefully the Linux won't have the same sporadic moments of downtime throughout the day....

so what is FreeBSD? and uhm.... what the hell is Linux? LOL

#2 FreeBSD is a lot more stable and better in the long run than linux

No, im we todd did asked "what happens when your host goes down?" as far as listings & link trades & whatnot. There is a HUGE difference

Sorta like asking "What happens if my car runs out of gas" & you replying "Go buy a new one"


im we todd did - for the most part, if we find sites that are "no dns" we pull them, but do not blacklist them. If we did pull them because of this, just post here & I can add them back in (as long as you're back up)

cool.... THANKS GG.... I'll poke around and see if any of my sites got pulled.... my host was only down for a few minutes but it's been doing it sporadically all week.... I think maybe Cleo is the only one who noticed because she was doing reviews when it was down....

It's always gotta be something going wrong.... If everything starts working perfectly I'm gonna be scared... LOL
